Check-In and Sleep

Pros: Clean
Cons: Have your rooms ready when you say you will.
Check-In time was listed as 3PM. When we arrived at close to 4PM the desk said that they didn't have a room ready. She asked me to wait until the had a room available. I asked when that would be and she said she didn't know, but it wouldn't be too long. I said ok and asked for a parking pass so I could at least go park the car in the garage while I waited and she said because she didn't have a room, she couldn't even give me a parking pass. I asked where she wanted me to wait, at the desk or off to the side...there was a line of people I had already had to wait to get to the desk and there was a line of people behind me. She indicated that I should just step out of line to wait. I asked her if I would be called back when a room came available, or if the next person in line would get the next room that came available. A supervisor finally stepped in and magically found a room. Finally that night after we had several drinks, the A/C kicked on and was banging so loud that it woke the both of us up.

VERY comfy

Location: We were in town to look at UAB and the location was very convenient. The staff recommended Dreamland BBQ for dinner and so do I.
The halls were a little worn in feel but everything else was great. The beds/pillows were unreal!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The only complaint we have are the thin walls. We could literally her the couple's conversation in the room next to us. The staff were great! The cookies amazing! The room was very clean and the location very central.

If there is a problem they will make it right

Pros: Friendly and courteous staff, clean rooms, well equipped weight room
Cons: Beds were more firm than I prefer
Location: Very close to UAB and many restaurants within walking distance.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel from 2/10 until 2/12/2017. When we arrived at our room I noticed a card in the desk that stated if we had a problem to let the hotel staff know and they would make it right. During our first night in the hotel we were awakened several times during the night by the guests in the adjoining room. I called the front desk 3 times during the night to complain. The next morning I went to the front desk and told the front desk manager about our experience. Without hesitation she moved us to an upgraded room, reimbursed us for the previous night, and gave us a credit in our bill to pay for our breakfast. I felt this was going above and beyond to make sure I was happy. When they say tell us if there is a problem and we will fix it, they mean it.

Nice hotel for a short stay

Had to change rooms on day one. Breakfast menu was selective but food was cold

Amazing southern hospitality

Pros: Staff, Food, Service, Beds
Location: Airport is 15 minutes away!
We checked in late from a long drive and the staff greeted us with incredible customer service. Every part of our experience there was a positive one. I will be staying here in the future.

All was exceptional in the beginning. The young man that checked up in was GREAT. The person that checked us out was not so good. The room was clean, but the ac was a dinosaur (LOUD). I also did not like that you had to be a Hilton Honors member to use the wifi.

Nice hotel just never got our room cleaned

We stayed here for 4 nights and not once did we get fresh towels. All that was done was they made our bed every day. No sugar refills for the coffee either. Not sure why. If we had to go down and ask for towels and then just hung them up and reused the ones we got

Decent hotel downtown
