Over night could have been better
On arrival check in the as easy. Room however needed hoovering. Changed room, very comfy but only enough hot water for one.

Easy to find. Plenty of Parking spaces available in the front and rear the building. Very close to the town center. Big room with very clean and nice bathroom. Nice breakfast area. I will come back.

Lovely modern rooms
Modern room with a lovely bathroom and big shower. Room got very warm though and you can’t change the temperature. Breakfast was nice too. Only negative was maid rushing me to get out of room when I had till 11am to check out.

Beautiful room, although it was rather warm. I'd forgotten my hair straighteners and would of loved an opportunity to hire some.

Decent nights sleep in a decent sized room at rear of property. Room and hotel in general a bit tired round the edges, worn carpets, skirting boards and paint peeling. But clean and tidy.

Comfortable, excellent location weekend stay
A friendly, welcoming professional greeting from the gentleman at reception on Saturday 16 November at 12.30, which put my stay on a good start. My room was spacious, the bed was comfy with fluffy pillows, clean and modern. The bar area had a nice nostalgic feel to it. The next morning I had a very enjoyable breakfast - again friend staff. I would stay again.

Been staying here whilst on business for some time now. Whilst it is not in the city centre I prefer the ambience of the place. If you wish to leave your car at hotel it takes about 10-15 mins by bus into city centre and there are stops right by hotel both ways & buses frequent. Love the food here but this time had to stay Sat/Sun morning too and perplexed that they do a buffet breakfast Sun morning - normally served. Dinners excellent as usual, Maria in Restaurant her usual charming self

Hello Jeremy. Thanks for your review. We tend to have a high number of guests arriving for breakfast on Sundays within a small time frame, so we started doing buffet breakfast on Sunday so guests do not wait long.

Beautiful well maintained property. Friendly staff, excellent food and service. Love the free car parking and easy access to the city by bus right outside the hotel. Our room was huge and very comfortable. The walk in shower was fabulous.

Lovely hotel, was surprised at how lovely it is because of the bad reviews. I’d definitely stay here again, room was lovely, free parking and Tasty breakfast !

Room was cold 18.5 degrees on arrival. Took nearly 5 hours to reach 20 degrees. Breakfast was disappointing. Staff were helpful, but there is very little choice if you don't want cooked meal. Croissants were not nice - stodgy rather than buttery and flaky.

During this period of variable weather, we are receiving mixed comments from guests, some are hot, some are cold. The hotel is good except for the fact that rooms are non AC. Keeping tge window open is too noisy. The internet keeps dropping off and is inconsistent. However, the staff at reception and restaurant are very helpful and friendly. Thank you.

Positives: Hotel was nice and clean, Room was big and clean, Front of house staff were helpful and you are made to feel welcomed, Bar staff also very helpful and obliging. Negatives: only one point - Staff Services at breakfast is very poor and quiet dismissive.

A lovely room, far better than all others I have been allocated when staying at the Eaton previously. Only criticism, for me it would be better to book as a room only, and paying for breakfast only if I decide to take one.

Our experience
Although the tap water is safe to drink, a couple of bottles of water complementary would be nice. We had to go back to our car to get the water....Room that we got wasn’t great and although it is said all rooms have air conditioners well our didn’t . We had a portable fan and luckily it wasn’t hot otherwise we would have to request a change in our room. Guests need to be told a second set of towels live in the cupboard. We called reception there was an impatient reply that they are in the cupboard. How Shd the guests know? Lastly my husband ordered hard boiled eggs for breakfast. They came quite uncooked so we were told they would bring us another lot which came 15 minutes later. This was at 10.30 n check out time was at 11am.....

Hello. Thank you for your review. Still and sparkling mineral water is available from our bar. We do not state that we have air-con. There is a sign in the room stating the second set of towels is in the wardrobe. I do apologies about the delay at breakfast. If you had told reception we would have happily extended your checkout.

Mixed review
Had our car broken into which put a slant on the way we viewed our stay. Check in also was a problem where they tried to get us pay again. Hotel generally nice.
