We were on a spur of the moment trip to pick up something for a friend of ours. We chose the hotel, because it had a pool and our thought was while my husband picked up the vehicle our kids could swim... was very disappointed to see the pool didn't open until 9am, this set us back in or schedule by a couple of hours. We were also pulling a trailer and trying to find parking was not convienent.

No Room Available

I reserved and paid for a two queens room two weeks before the trip day. Only one king room was available at check in. After small argument with a front desk staff, my two queens room became available... Just wonder how they made the room available in a few minutes. What if I just believed them, I would not stay in the room I reserved and paid. They kept telling me it could happen because I reserved the room using third party service, which is Expedia. Anyway, it looked like they had a room ready but wanted to sell the room with higher prices for others who didn't have reservations. The town was busy for a racing.

Just what I needed.

Pros: Clean and quiet.
This is what you need in a motel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My room was very clean, and most importantly, quiet. The breakfast is an actual breakfast from fresh fruit to cereal to eggs and sausage, they have it covered. I will definitely be staying here the next time I am in Birmingham.

The Hotel was very nice. The one drawback is that it is located near a train line and the freighters blew their horns at 3 AM and again at 3:30 AM. Loud enough to wake the dead.
