From my experience the hotel is clean quiet, the staff were friendly, professional, helpful. The hotel has a gym, sauna ,steam room and a pool all well maintained, but the shower was freezing and the option to turn up the temperature didn’t work. I found it too cold after coming out a hot sauna or steam room and from my observation other people using the facilities also found shower too cold. The hotel is 5 minutes walk away a large library, The Rep threatre and restaurants. There is easy access to public transport i.e. trams and buses. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Sadly a flying visit so no time to use what looked like great facilities. Nice spacious twin room with 3/4 beds. Best Duvet I've come across in a hotel, would have been nice if an option for an extra pillow. 3 stars for staff as I asked what time the trams ran until and the receptionist didn't know or make any attempt to find out - dissappointing

Stayed for one Saturday night. Rooms are clean and well appointed if a little dated, flaking veneer on the desk and cupboard etc but all consistent with a hotel of this age. Lobby bar and “pub” were very good, helpful friendly staff and open later than many of the pubs in the city centre that we could find. Quite a busy and popular hotel, parking was limited but this was well communicated in advance.

For the amount that you pay it’s not worth it at all. We paid for a high floor (got the 10th). I booked a standard room a few years ago and got near the 17th. The room itself is very outdated. The water is cheap. Facilities are minimal. Dressing gown was dirty. Shouting and arguing a few doors down. The woman who checked us in was rude. Never again

Liked that we could walk across the bridge to the Symphony Hall, although we only really found out about this by accident. Room was lovely once we worked out how to turn the very noisy air con off. Found the bar staff in the late evening a bit run off their feet and wasn’t that keen on the snacks we ordered, which we felt could have been described better in the menu. I also prefer my white wine and cocktails chilled.
