mid week stay

Posted Nov 28, 2016
Pros: Quiet, in the country.
Cons: Reception, booking in and out.
Location: Rural, drove in and out.
Finding the hotel in the dark wasn't easy. The reseption booked us in quickly and gave key, when came to pay could not find us on the computer at first. Told no one was staying in the room we used! The room was very comfortable with twin beds put together. It was on the cooler side as single glazing, but extra bedding was provided. Tea and coffee facilities very acceptable. Hair dryer cut out, so went back to hotel spa and used theirs. Good length pool, warm steam room. Gym was small and didn't use. Breakfast was self service and satisfactory. Surprised no one asked for our room number at breakfast, especially surprising when they didn't even know we were there! In all a satisfactory stay and would use again.

Overall it was a pleasant experience and a nice location... maybe it is much better for holidays and not for working

Lovely staff

Lovely hotel - we were in the Annexe but it was still full of atmosphere. The warmest and friendliest staff I have ever encountered!!! Take your own hairdryer - the one supplied is useless, but this is my only complaint.
