Best staying in Birmingham

Posted May 9, 2016
Pros: Equipped a laundry machine and kitchen.
Cons: The cover glass in the shower room is too short to guard the floor wet.
Located between New Street Station and Moor Station, equipped very well. Staff members are so nice.

Hi Akiko Thank you for your lovely feedback, especially your comment about our team. Sorry to hear that you found your floor to be wet after your shower, extra bath mats are always available should you need one. We hope you will return for another stay. Best wishes Simon

Strange Place

Posted Apr 16, 2016 on Hotels
This is an apartment complex that seems to have been converted into some hotel rooms, complete with kitchen. My room was very interesting (2nd floor with huge walk out balcony overlooking the BullRing Shopping area and promenade. The room had many issues mostly in the bathroom where the rain shower controls did not control the temperature of the water...either ice cold or blazing hot. The bathroom sink did not drain either. The wireless unit was located in a closet which severely cut the range down (until I moved it). The Illy coffee machine (with pods) did not produce any hot water. The Bullring area is filled with bums and losers begging money and christian vs muslim information tents yelling back and forth at each other all day....no thanks. Overall, interesting concept but I would not stay here again.

Hi We were sorry to hear that you had some issues with your apartment while you were with us. Since your departure, we have resolved the issues you mentioned including replacing the shower thermostat and coffee machine. We have also relocated the router. We do hope you will consider staying with us in the future, perhaps another apartment type would be more suitable. The majority of our apartments are on higher floors away from the hustle and bustle below. Best wishes Simon

Student accommodations at best. We asked guest services for more than one towel after the first night due to the half "door" shower shield (floor gets quiet wet when taking a shower). Attendant made note of this but additional towels were never delivered. Microwave did not work, also told this to attendant but no action taken.

We were really disappointed when we read your review as our mission is always to give our guests a great stay and we have obviously failed on a number of issues for you. I am so sorry that the requests you made at reception did not get actioned. Unfortunately, your stay coincided with the introduction of a new piece of software and although our front desk staff passed on the messages, they did not make it to our housekeeping team due to a gremlin in the system. Thankfully the issue has been resolved and everything is working really well. We think our complimentary breakfast offering of Rude Health cereals and granolas, freshly squeezed orange juice, tea and coffee are yummy but we appreciate they may not be to everyone’s taste. We have removed the breakfast from Expedia so that it is an added bonus rather than a potential disappointment to our future guests. Hopefully you can see from our other reviews (and the high number of returning guests) that most guests love the building and its quirks. Our apartments are at the top of a residential building which might explain why you saw so many young residents.City centre apartments attract a younger crowd. Finally, we are saddened that you won’t be returning and can’t apologise enough for the issues you experienced. Best wishes Gavin Burns General Manager

Pros: View and location

Surprised to find such a well equipped kitchenette. Appeared to be expensive but was reasonable for what you got

Amazing city views, funky interior, wow factor

Posted Sep 4, 2013
Pros: the location, the city views, balcony, extra goodies e.g. toiletries, cereal, fruit and fresh milk, the unique design of the apartment......everything
Cons: provide slippers
Location: bullring for shopping
I went to check in and to my splendid surprise I was upgraded to the penthouse apartment! I paid a fraction of the price on expedia and this was just the icing on the cake. The staff were so kind and friendly and welcoming. When I got into the apartment which was located on the top floor the views were absolutely breath taking. The room was designed funky yet smart. The rooms were in excellent condition. The apartment came with complimentary toiletry, fresh oranges for the orange blender, fresh bottled milk, an espresso machine and all the extra kitchen essentials. I could not have asked for more. As I booked the apartment as a surprise for my BF he was just as pleased with everything. We had a romantic stay.

あまり勧めません

Posted Mar 8, 2013
