Nice hotel a little outdated but not an issue, everything worked well and the bed was so comfortable. Do note that if you are a light skeeper you may hear road noise, I did but boyfriend didn't. Overall pleasant stay at amazing price!
Service from the staff was welcoming and friendly.
Entrance and corridors clean and well maintained.
We had a rook at the front which had a light blarring into the room all night and noise from the road so if you are a light sleeper you will need to request a room at the back.
Room - overally clean and spacious. The room was dated. The toilet flush was very loud, the shower curtain stunk musty. We found a half drank beer in one of the drawers and lettuce on floor which was disappointing considering the current pandemic requiring the extra attention to cleaning but i took my own wipes and wiped over everywhere in room and bathroom, tbf all was clean apart from the bed side tables they were fiflthy.
The bed was large and comfortable.
The leisure facilites.... such a shame they are not well maintained or clean. There is steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, plunge pool and swimming pool but the cleanliness around the pool was below average and the same for the changing rooms. Really disappointing because it was a great relaxing atmosphere but i couldnt fully relax because of the slime and dirt everywhere and i ended up leaving after about 45 minutes because i couldnt settle. It needs a good deep clean.
Our stay didn’t start as expected as the room standards were low and the bathroom wasn’t clean. Dust was visibly noticeable on the skirtings. Limescale was noticeable on taps and dust around the bathroom. Our room had non functioning door lock and we were told that’s why there is a door chain! My daughter had a functioning door lock and a chain! She had to change room as there was a dead wasp on the bed and dust around the room. The staff were helpful when we discussed our issues and if we wanted change of towels etc
We didn’t get a chance to use the jacuzzi as it was broken down and the pool access was limited as the club members end up taking most slots! It should be a fair system for all.
