Pros: the motel is old but clean
Cons: the air conditioner is loud
Location: just stayed for the night, traveling though
it was ok, jet stayed for the night on our way to Lake Tahoe

Needs maintenance, carpet, and coat of paint.

Smelled of cigarettes and orange cleaner. Stained carpet. Pealing paint. Disconnected smoke alarm.

We stayed here just one night on our way to Mammoth. Nice hotel and easy to walk to park and town. They served a good hot breakfast.

Not impressed

Was not impressed with this hotel and was seriously thinking about checking in to another hotel. As soon as we checked in I was told that all hotel key rooms were not functioning and that if we wanted to get back in our room a staff member would have to escort us to unlock the doors. Hallways were a complete mess with chipped walls all over the place w/ a lot of construction going on. Only upside was that you get free breakfast. Definitely will not be coming back to this hotel again and would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Under Construction

This hotel was under construction. Most likely, it will be far better when the work is done, but for now it probably would be best if they were closed until the work is complete. It is a major renovation and the place is a mess (as would be expected during a major renovation.)

Clean, affordable, walking distance to restaurants

Quick check in. Rooms were clean, bed comfy. Walked to nearby BBQ place and bakery. Great free breakfast.

Disappointing!!

The hotel was under construction, base was missing, thresholds into the rooms was missing, ceiling tiles were missing, room doors did not have closers, the carpet in the corridors was incredibly dirty, stair handrails not to code.. Had I known it was construction site, I would not have booked that hotel. I need to speak to a manager... please direct my e-mail to the appropriate person.

Purse gone through

Hotel is going through a remodel. It is very nice. The issue we had, is that while we were out on afternoon my wife's purse was gone through. It was left in the room in the closet with a blanket over it. Upon ur return it was on top of the blanket with an inside zipper open and a few dollars missing (we believe). Not 100% on that as she believes she had a couple dollars in the opened pocket. The pocket was only used for feminine products and that is how she knows it was not opend when we left the room. I informed the front desk on checking out. The woman could not have cared less. When I told her what happened and I wanted to report it to just make them aware, she just said "ok" and never even looked up from her computer.

Pros: Staff great. Lobby and breakfast area had plenty of seating. Breakfast good variety to choose from.
Cons: Outside doors are loud. The door banging can be heard in the rooms. Annoying when you are trying to sleep. Bathrooms make for a tight squeeze.
Location: Location great. Walking to restaurants and town. Nice park across the street.
Staff was helpful and very friendly. Very easy to find hotel. Wanted a downstairs room and staff accommodated.
