"Lovely property - meet up with old uni mates for the weekend. Perfect place to sit and eat, drink and laughWe had fabulous weather which always helps - spent all sat afternoon sitting on patio, using the lovely hot tub, cooking on the bbq then when got dark and colder we all sat around the fire pit looking at stars while singing/ chatting / drinking for the evening. In middle of nowhere ( excellent walks nearby) so no need to worry about making noise. Well equipped place, comfy bedsWould definitely recommend for meeting up with friends."

"Hotel is out of the way and on a one way system, but managed to navigate. Arrived during a party so spaces in the car park were limited. Also arrived to find signs about ANPR parking. When asked about it, was told the cameras hadn’t been fitted (signs up 3 days early) and there was nothing about a change on the property info. Staff were pleasant and the room was decent. I read reviews about issues with the ‘balcony’. We got a balcony, it’s old but safe. Lovely view, but I could see an issue being a lower level balcony room and insects, but we were on the top floor. Would stay again if in the area."

However this time we booked the Standard Double due to availability and unfortunately found it extremely small in all respects and built into the roof accessed by fairly steep stairs. Wouldn't therefore recommend this room best to book the Premier Double if available. The staff in the bar & restaurant though were very good and helpful and the evening meal was excellent."

Evening meals and Sunday carvery were tasty and specials were explained. A thing to note is that there is no lift so mobility needs to be good to walk up stairs which was not a problem for us. Enjoyed our stay here and will be back next year as still much more to explore in the ares"

"Came to the hotel and were pleasantly surprised at the grounds and location. parking was nearby and the car park felt secure. The staff were polite and friendly. Fundamentally clean and smelt clean. The room was a good size, although a bit on the warm side - realised that the towel rail was on but as the bathroom door was left open, the room was a bit overwarm. There is tea and coffee available in the room, but there was no milk, nor a small fridge to keep the milk in. Needed a second hand towel (this was a twin room) but reception provided one without an issues. Would stay again."
