To the Owners, Management & Staff - Well Done on a Brilliant Hotel!! Everything was pure bliss - very welcoming, friendly and helpfull porters and reception, bar staff and waitresses. Coming from the middle east we experienced South Africa as it can be - tops and we all can be very proud of our Product that we can put together!

Great hotel lovely beach fantastic views

Great food, prices very reasonable. Only negative staff at brealfast service a bit offhand Pool unheated but great place to stay

Pros: Restaurant/bar
Good accommodation, clean, near beach, I was only there 12 hours, so did not have time to make the most of the beach,pool/spa.

Nice hotel with secluded beach.

Pros: Wifi was good and hotel was nice.
Cons: Location, check in time, and more wait staff at bar.
Location: Secluded away from the city, which could be what your looking for.
Hotel is in nice condition with secluded beach. The beach is secluded for a reason, it's about a 15-20 minute drive from the waterfront, but it does provide shuttles to and from the waterfront daily. Check in time was 2pm which I thought was a bit late. Breakfast is included which was buffet style, wasn't bad but I wouldn't pay R200 for it. The bar was nice a dinner was good. If the bar gets packed the wait increases exponentially. The view from the pool looking at table mountain is priceless, especially at sunset.

Fantastic room; very large with balcony and sea view. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food via a variety of restaurants.

Great hotel not a brilliant location for us

It was a great hotel, although I would not probably use it again. It was at least 15-20 mins on a shuttle to any shop whatsoever and there were no other restaurants within walking distance, except one. It was extremely windy and quite cold to sit out, even though it was warm in other areas of Cape Town. However the rooms were lovely, the bar staff and drivers were great. The reception staff seemed disorganised! We arrived at 11am by shuttle and had to wait over 3 hours for check in. We were told on departure we could have a free late check out until 1pm and they changed it to 12pm as they said they had got it wrong. Breakfast was wondeful and the staff in there were great!

Incredible Stay

This hotel was incredible. I read mixed reviews on here and didn't have high expectations but first of all, the views are stunning. The breakfast view overlooks the ocean and it's a great way to start the day. The food was also incredible and I had the best pina colada of my life here. My husband and I had several meals at the beach bar and I thought the portions were very good for the price, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. We also had dinner in the main dining room one night and it was incredible food as well as service. The staff was also very accommodating with booking things for us to do. The location is tricky because you can't really walk to any attractions, but the views are so stunning that you don't really care and a taxi ride to the waterfront is quite cheap.

Pros: Fantastic breakfast and helpful staff.
Cons: Our bathtub had no stopper and the ducks were messy but all in all it was good.
Location: Liked location. Not too far from things to do but not noisy either. Felt safe there.
Beautiful views of coastline and close to the beach. I loved it there. Parking was very convenient.

Pretending to be 4 star

Several of the staff were either rude, lazy, forgetful or indifferent. Slow to get what we wanted at the bar, every bartender but Roland could not make a margarita to save their lives. The concierge, Bella, saved the experience for us a couple of times with her quick action and follow through. Wellington, one of the managers, attempted to recover our bar experience and bought us a drink after digging up Roland to make up for the 45 minute wait we experienced at the bar the first day. The spa was ok, most of the lockers there cannot be secured though, I pointed this out, but had to demonstrate it before the staff would believe me. The spa is right next to the pool on the third floor, but they could not provide a pool towel, the wifi doesn't work at the gym, the spa or the upper pool...that is just unacceptable. The room lighting is in severe need of an upgrade, especially in the bathroom. It's just too dark. There were just too many rookie mistakes for this to be a great experience. We allowed the maid to service the room on the third day, and she cleaned the whole place up, but left us completely without toilet paper. The bar and kitchen kept running out of things. The restaurant, wouldn't let us sit at the window table we wanted because it would mean someone would have to go down stairs to get a new table cloth from the storage area. We visually witnessed staff members actually sneer and stubbornly resist requests we made. Despite the willingness of a few to provide great ..
