My husband and I, along with our two boys (7&4) stayed here for our first trip the Black Hills. It was a terrific home base. We were busy out and about every day and it was great to come back home to the Carriage House every night.

There’s nothing nicer than sightseeing while on vacation, and Black Hills Playhouse is an excellent place to start.

It resides 160 miles from the state capital, Pierre. A little bit of a journey, but well worth it!

It's only approximately 6 miles to Black Hills Playhouse when you spend the night at one of the 9 hotels that are available here. Tons of visitors book a few nights at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mt. Rushmore and Mount Rushmore's Washington Inn & Suites.
