Cosy hotel in nice location

Posted Nov 6, 2017
Lovely modern shabby chic decor. Spotlessly clean however, for £100 a night (signature room) you would expect toiletries in the bathroom (shower gel etc). The bed although comfortable creaked with every movement so did not make for a good nights sleep .

Nice hotel and staff are friendly

Very comfortable hotel, only problem was that there was a nasty smell in the room and just outside. Informed reception but they said they weren’t aware. Room #24

Fantastic views

Posted Sep 22, 2017
Pros: Position and people
Cons: Bathrooms
Location: Near the Lancashire coastline and the illuminations
We have just come back from a 2 day stay. The position of the hotel is great for visiting the Lancashire coastline. The staff are lovely and very helpful. However the bed part of the room was small although there was a separate sitting area with a lovely view. The bathroom needed to be refurbished as there was mould in the grouting and the plaster was bubbling and falling off near the shower. They only supplied 1 bath towel for 2 people. The food in the restaurant was good and tasty

Away from the Hassles

Posted Aug 18, 2017
Pros: See above
Good quiet location with welcoming staff and modern ambience... enjoyable evening meal from wide selection of dishes with pint of Hen Harrier from the Bowland Brewery. Clean and spacious room with en-suite facilities including power-shower. Full-cooked breakfast set me up for the rest of the day. We were only there for one night but would definitely return. All in all a very good short stay hotel experience.

Nice clean hotel with no frills

Clean comfortable hotel, small beds in large rooms and very worn small tierd towels. Had everything you needed for a weeekend, but lacked any atmosphere .

Fantastic Weekend

Posted Jul 11, 2017 on Hotels
We had a very enjoyable 3 nights stay. Checking in was very easy and informative. The bedroom had everything you needed. The views over the river Wyre stunning and so so peaceful. The staff very helpful and nothing too much trouble. Meals very tasty and well presented. All in all we had a perfect weekend and would recommend the Shard Riverside.

Its a beautiful place to stay, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu choice was good, and locally sourced and was reasonably priced.
