Good location for visiting the town

Posted Nov 25, 2017
Pros: Location was good, tram stop right outside hotel
Cons: Would be beneficial if there were more staff to deal with the queue of people to be seated at breakfast.
Room was clean. Pool was lovely. Good selection at breakfast. Quiet end of town, with a frequent tram service to and from town.

Lovely old hotel.

Posted Nov 22, 2017
Pros: The character and history of the hotel. Lovely room (obviously refurbished). Lovely food. Right temperature in room. Friendly staff.
Unfortunately they had a guest they had to expel after causing a lot of noise during the night as they took in very noisy friends. We were woken several times during the night so did not have a good nights sleep. They apologised and said this was not a regular occurrence. Otherwise lovely food and very comfy bed.

Hello Jean, I'm so pleased you enjoyed yourselves and you got to stay in one of our new sample rooms. What a shame there were some inconsiderate guests near you, its true this is unusual and I'm relieved we sorted it. I do hope we'll see you again, with best wishes, Alison

Nice Nice hotel but room too hot!

Posted Nov 21, 2017
Nice hotel, friendly staff, lovely food but our room was stiflingly hot and the thermostat on the radiator didn’t seem to work. We complained after the first night and were told that maintenance would sort it out but nothing changed. We slept on top of the duvet with the window and curtains open ( window would only open a few inches) to try to get some cool air into the room. This made very little difference as out room didn’t have a nice sea view, we were surrounded by brick and windows.

good position

Posted Nov 20, 2017
Pros: friendly staff , good position on beachfront. tram stops right outside hotel
Cons: parking, total chaos with cars unable to find spaces and then blocking cars in.
Location: blackpool tower and city centre a 10 min walk.
Typical hotel that needs a bit if tlc and general improvements

Tired and dated

Posted Nov 19, 2017
Pros: The check is was ok and the lady that took our complaint was very nice and pleasant.
Cons: Stop using cupboards as rooms, consider refurbishment and provide a comfortable environment worthy of the price advertised.
Location: The location is on the seafront with good access to the trams. A 10-15 mins walk gets you to the north pier area. Quite accessible really.
Check in was east enough after spending an age trying to park. Room 146 is at the back and is sold as a double room, however it was imore as a single room with a large bed in it. There was a smell of drains, the bed was hard and the constant traffic was a guarantee sleep was going to be a struggle. This was also capped off with a constant drown from some mechanical devise, not sure what. On the whole, we couldn’t wait to leave. I have stopped in better accommodation in Blackpool with a lot less stars for less than half the price.

Pros: The quality of the breakfast was very good. The evening dinner was extremely good value with well presented and perfectly cooked food.
Cons: The beds were very hard so we did not get a good nights sleep . The bedroom was extremely hot although there was no visible heat on.
Location: good location with car parking. the tram stop was outside
the hotel temperature was too high., especially the bedrooms

Lovely Hotel

Posted Nov 17, 2017
Pros: Everything
Location: The tramline was just outside the hotel if you wanted to use them. Blackpool was in walking distance which there was something for everyone.
Lovely hotel overlooking the sea. We had deluxe room which was spacious with a really comfortable bed. Was walking distance into Blackpool. The staff was lovely and friendly. We had evening meal in the restaurant which was amazing. Would definitely recommend and return.
