Nice little bed and breakfast, great breakfast.

Location: Only 15 minutes to town centre on foot, quicker to walk than drive at busy times.
Only stayed two nights in double room with en suite, beds very comfortable, area quiet so got a good nights sleep.

pleasant stay

Pros: nice smelling laundry
Cons: mattress needs replacing. Toilet seat mending. Updating in general
Location: location was really good. Short walk or tram ride to centre
on road parking was full on arrival so ended up 3 streets away which is a bit of a pain. Walking back to my car the next morning in the pouring down rain wasn't too good either. Hotel is ok but a little dated. Artex ceiling and very uncomfortable mattress that I would say needs replacing sometime soon. Towels were tatty and frayed but at lease they were clean. Actually the bedding and towels smelled lovely and newly washed. Toilet in the room was pretty poor too as the seat was all but snapped off and wobbled about a lot.No wifi code offered and no code in the rooms? do they have wifi? Breakfast room next morning would benefit from a radio maybe? Not loud but it would stop people feeling like they had to whisper. Breakfast was good size and well cooked everything hot and tasty.

My wife and I stayed for a week at the sandalwood, everything was great, our room, the facilities, the delicious breakfasts but what made it extra special was Margaret the owner, she is the kindest most caring landlady you could ever hope for, she is the best. Margaret you are 5 star, thankyou

Host Margaret was very nice and welcoming. She looked after us well and prepared lovely breakfast. A very clean environment and spent time to have a chat.
