Easy walk to campus

Pros: The location
Cons: The mattress and pillows
Location: Take a walk up College to the square and check out restaurants and shops; then head to the beautiful IU campus.
The room was tidy and had two double beds, a sofa, chair and desk, with lots of space. The location was great - just a short walk to restaurants and campus. And there was free parking. However, the beds were too soft, and the pillows too full. Also, there was a little bit of mold in the shower, and housekeeping didn't get to our room until after 4pm, at which point we declined the bed making service as we were ready to shower and head out. There was quite a bit of noise Friday night (until about 2 am), probably because there was a big football game the next day.

Over charged 4 times.

Pros: They over charged me 3 times and then another when checked out. I'm not sure why. My bank said it was due to me using debit card.
Cons: Train your employee that checked me in to know about why a person was charged so much
Was overcharged 3 times and a 4th when checked out. The women who checked me in I didn't think accommodated me when I told her that I was charged 3 times. They said no I wasn't but my account shows you did. They don't see it on there end that I was charged that. The clerk said that would come off by midnight. I apparently was not happy the next morning due to the fact I was not off and never told why I was charged 3 times or a apology from them. I have chase as my bank and they were the ones who got my money back and apologized for no reason. The hotel was at fault. That's the only problem I had there. The hotel was very clean but staff not good with taking payments.

We got a wake up call at 7:30am on a Sat that we did not ask for.

Good luck flushing

Ok room and hotel, but the toilet is weak. Clogged right up. Friendly hotel staff came and fixed it right away. Although they did not say it, it was clear that they were used to fixing this apparently frequent problem.

Very outdated

Room was very outdated with dirt marks on walls where pictures used to be. Wall light missing next to bed but screw for the light was on the rug and I wondered how long it has been there. Wallpaper was very old and seams were detaching from the wall. Chairs and mirrors leaning again walls out in hallway. Breakfast is listed at 6AM yet the doors for the room were not opened until 6.25 . All and all not what the quality of my regular stays at Hampton Inns. Disappointing. Mark

One day was great. One day ended with a 11:45 fire alarm caused by someone smoking in their room-not the best way to awake, but you will not sleep through it. The other day we did not get towels until we complained. Overall just fair.
