Very accommodating!

Posted Jul 30, 2017
Pros: Friendly, professional staff.
Cons: Nothing, really!
Location: MOA, downtown, The Lakes.
We arrived one day early, at 11:30 p.m. The price was going to be a higher that night rather than our reservation price but they gave us the lower rate! We had missed 'pizza night'; the staff overheard me and gave us a plate of the leftover pizza!! The breakfast was awesome!! We left at 6:00 a.m. on the morning of our checkout. Breakfast wasn't until 6:30 but the staff said to help ourselves to breakfast. We had hot croissants right out of the oven! Everyone was so nice and friendly!! The pool and workout area were wonderful!!

For longer stays

Posted Jul 14, 2017
For longer stays it's great having a little kitchen. Bed is comfy. Bathroom is tiny but manageable. It is nice having a desk with outlets

Pros: The play area that it is connected to .
Cons: Well there are a lot. More elevators would be nice. Also more than one trash can . This is huge your an extended stay facility.
Location: Great close to almost everything
Strangely payed facilities. Only two elevators for several floors. When I went to check in I stood at the front desk for at least five minutes before anyone ever appeared . Then when I got to my room it was wrong . I had made my reservation three weeks before and the Manager told me oh we don't have any other rooms !

Great location, uncomfortable beds.

Posted Jul 4, 2017
We stayed for five nights in a king suite. We asked for a rollaway for our 5-year old, but there was not enough room in the "bedroom" to put the rollaway next to our bed. Also, the rollaway mattress was thin, and extremely uncomfortable--the coils were right under the thin surface. We tried her on the pullout sofa bed, but it was just as bad. We ended up making her bed on the sofa, right on the seat cushions. Luckily she is only five, so she fit. It would have been miserable for a larger person. The king bed was also very hard and uncomfortable. I liked the little kitchenette, though we didn't end up using it. But it had a decent-sized fridge, a stovetop, a small sink, and a dishwasher. The bathroom was small and hard to maneuver in, and none of us is very big in our family. It would be very difficult for a larger sized person. The location is great, especially for families with young children. The dining area has direct access to a 1-acre indoor "park" (Edinburgh Park) with the hugest, coolest climbing/sliding structure I've ever seen--like a monstrous Habitrail for kids. There is a charge for using the climbing structure and the other open indoor play area, but I thought it was reasonable, and they have a discount punch card if you are going to go a lot. Hotel guests get free access to Edinburgh Park's junior Olympic sized pool, fitness area, and track. Lots of good restaurants not far away, good shopping, and Centennial Lake, which has pedal boats & mini golf.

Thank you for your feedback. Please accept our sincere apology for the problems you experienced during your stay with the mattresses. I will also share your feed back with my chief engineer to look at the mattresses in your suite to see if we can replace this to ensure this was an isolated incident. I'm glad to hear you were able enjoy the indoor park next door, and some of the local area attractions. There is so much to do in the area, we hope you enjoyed exploring just some of what Edina has to offer. We hope to have an opportunity to serve you again whenever your travels bring you back to Edina.

Just those little things that really annoy you

Posted May 19, 2017
First, when we arrived the lady at the desk was cordial, but did not give us directions to our room or the elevators when she checked us in, so we are standing there like, "where now." Note that the elevators are no where in sight when in the lobby and without direction, there would be no reason to expect a customer to find them on their own. Next, the fridge in the room was awesome, but it rattled the ENTIRE time. Very annoying. Not one hook in the entire room to hang something up, just in the closet. I don't want to hang my wet towel in a closet! Also, having one person behind a hotel desk is never a smart idea. I should not have to wait 1/2 hour for a pack of coffee because the one front desk guy is too busy.

The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. They really went out of their way to help, and did it with a smile. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Great location. We had a great stay and would highly recommend the Residence Inn in Edina.

Comfort away from home

Posted Apr 19, 2017 on Hotels
The hotel was very nice and the room was very clean and quiet. the staff was excellent. The breakfast was good and offered an excellent start to the day. The bed was okay but no bed is like your very own.
