Pros: It's heritage
Cons: No charge on credit card use
Location: Lots of great walks. Leura shopping.
Wonderful staff. Generous with their time. The owners not so generous re TV movies or any additional things have a price when the cost per night is already very generous for us to pay.

Great location and family amneties. Although it was a short stay, the kids enjoyed it immensely. The indoor pool was great and same as the kids play rooms. Decent sized rooms with all that is required.

Pros: The staff. You could walk the grounds ,swim or just relax in the lounge.
Cons: The food was good but could be improved. Maybe some more choices on the menu in the restaurant. The buffet was really good.
Only a short stay but very relaxing. great staff who were very friendly and helpful. Great to see people who enjoy their job.

Was expecting more, no one to help with bags, pool crowded and dirty, parking only at bottom of hill, long walk.......

Thank you for your review. We were disappointed to read that your expectations were not met - certainly never our want for any one of our valued guests to leave feeling unsatisfied in any way. Without knowing more details of your stay it is difficult to surmise why our friendly and helpful concierge team were not on hand to help with your luggage - I am sorry you missed this service as we receive many accolades for our caring and efficient concierge team here at the Fairmont. Our swimming pools (both the heated indoor and the outdoor) are checked regularly during the day and tested as well as cleaned daily as per stringent health and safety regulations. Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience with the parking. You will be pleased to know as part of our current rejuvenation programme underway for the Resort we are creating additional car spaces closer to reception. In addition to this once our new Day Spa is completed (due within a six month time frame) it will also free up additional car spaces - combined these will more than alleviate the issue for future stays. Once again, thank you for sharing your concerns and it is our hope that we are able to serve you better in the future. Warm regards Scott O'Neile General Manager

Okay hotel....but just a little past it's best in need of refurbishment. It's very well located near a nice little place called Laura with somr great look out posts for blue mountains scenery. Kids facilities are also excellent. I've only rated three as definitely needs a refurb.

Dear Ed Thank you for sharing your feedback following your recent stay with us. I am so pleased you enjoyed our idyllic location and extensive facilities available for children and in fact all of our guests available here at the Resort. I also wanted to take this opportunity to advise you that we are currently underway with a well thought out and thorough rejuvenation programme to restore the resort to her former glory - and well beyond. While much of this has been completed, there do remain some areas which are being prioritised including the outdoor pool area and some accommodation rooms. We are also adding additional facilities to compliment our already generous offering including a 12 treatment room Day Spa due to open early this year. We are confident you will notice further enhancements and improvements on return visits. We hope to welcome you back soon. Warm regards Scott O'Neile General Manager

The best in Blue Mountains

I stayed in this hotel few times and some other hotels in the same region. I believe this is the best in Blue Mountains. The only thing I didn't like was only one restaurant opened, which left limited choice to customers. Maybe business gone too quiet.

Dear Eva Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We love that we are your favourite accommodation in the gorgeous Blue Mountains, thank you for this lovely compliment and for your loyalty. I do apologise for the lack of restaurant variety on your stay. We do offer a wider choice based on demand without knowing the night (s) of your stay it is difficult to comment on. On Friday nights for example we have Embers, Eucalypt, Jamisons Buffet as well as the Leura Golf Club Bistro open for guests. However on quieter nights we may have Embers open as well as in room dining. We are constantly looking into this to ensure our guests are happy, so appreciate your feedback, thank you. We look forward to welcoming you back when next visiting our beautiful part of the world! Warm regards Scott O'Neile General Manager

Thank you for your recent review, we truly love hearing from our guests. I am pleased you enjoyed the overall resort and our generous onsite facilities. I apologise that your room did not meet your expectations - certainly never our intention nor our want for anyone to leave feeling anything less than 100% satisfied. We are currently, as part of our rejuvenation programme, refreshing all of our rooms and while most have been completed their remain some to be finalised which are being worked on as a matter of priority. We are sure you will notice an improvement on a return visit and hope to welcome you back soon. Warm regards Scott O'Neile General Manager

Too much for too little

Pros: The area where is located
Cons: As per our review
Location: That was ok
Almost $300 a night for a room without shelving or drawers and no breakfast included. Hotel staff offered to change room but to a double single bed room, not good enough for a wedding anniversary. We are not coming back for sure!

Thank you for providing feedback on your recent stay with us here in the beautiful Blue Mountains. I am pleased you enjoyed your overall stay with us and wanted to let you know of a carefully thought out rejuvenation programme currently underway to resort the Fairmont to her former glory - and well beyond. This includes the refurbishment of accommodation rooms (including lighting in the bathrooms), public spaces as well as new additions including a purpose built Day Spa. While most of this work has been completed there do remain areas to be addressed which are being done so as a matter of priority. We are confident you will notice an improvement on a return visit. Thank you for choosing to stay with us and we hope to welcome you back again soon. Warm regards Scott O'Neile General Manager
