Quite Possibly the Worst "Resort" on the Planet!

About us: my wife and I are both professionals with extensive travel experience as well as experience living in different countries. I am an American and my wife is Dominican. Outside of our native countries, I lived for 3 years in Spain and my wife has lived 8 years in the United States as well as 7 years in Holland. We visit the Dominican Republic almost every year to visit family and friends as well as spend a little quality time together in a resort if possible. Our experience: there were so many things wrong with this hotel that I cannot possibly list all the details because Expedia doesn't allow enough characters. Bottom line: This is the worst resort my wife and I have ever stayed at. We found the staff to be rude and unfriendly, the customer service to be severely lacking, the food to be horrible, the liquor to be cheap, and the entertainment to be pathetic. Please, think twice before booking this hotel!

Pros: The people , the beach , food was okay and many times excepcional , my rooms etc...
Cons: Control over pool cleaning and kids out of control, especially at the yacuzzy.
I have not been treated so well in a long time.The people are amazing and the hotel is still pretty good.

Cons: maintenance of facility overall, not well kept
nice location and could be a premier resort if maintenance was more diligent, not well keep or maintained

Great Hotel overall

Should have free WIFI since it's everything included and the beds aren't very comfortable other then that I love this place. Second time I stay here, did is good, big variety of national and international food in the buffet. Beach and pools are great and one step away, nice beach front restaurants around are perfect. Staff is really nice, overall no need to go any further if your in the city Oasis Hamaca is the place to be.

Nice hotel

Close to family who lived in Santo Domingo, need more variety of food in the buffet. got really crowded with local people who were staying for the day or weekend. Line for food was terrible never have i seen such a line before during The Weeknd of DEC 5-10

People were rude and our room smelled terrible. Bed was really hard. The only thing that we enjoyed was the beautiful beach.

Staff on front desk none professional lack of customer service skill. Will never recommend this hotel. Very disappointed of this hotel.

Good location

This hotel have a great location, beautiful beach, a lot restaurants around but forget about the room you choose and paid for it, when you get there you have whatever they have available....Not to happy about that!! The Cotica restaurant is great, the staff too friendly like Raül and Librado they try to make you feel happy and comfortable, Thank You guys we have a great time You you !!!

Cons: everything needs to be fixed. The rooms, the food, pay the employees so that they treat customers better and are happy.
Location: eat
All this place has is the beach honestly.. no hot water, ac not working, refrigerator not working.. you must pay for beach towels. I'm a long time traveler too many places around the world and I must say this has been one of the most disappointing.

CLOSE To Beach.. But BEWARE

Cons: Everything with regards to their rooms, the service, having stray cats while dining isn't the ideal dinner date.
Stayed here for a week to celebrate my father's bday. Initially they stated there is no vip checkin as stated by expedia on site. The room we were given was a room with three bedrooms rather than what I placed after complaining we were moved to another room but no heat in room, ac didn't work sounds of drilling, refrigerator did not work. The jacuzzi didn't work either. It's as if they had sabotaged the stay purposely. Honestly believe it was a waste of time and money. The transportation picked us up an hour late also possibly causing us to miss our flight. They really need to fix this hotel as it is in no condition to be open for business. Sadly enough we were changed to three different rooms but it just got worst.. don't waste your money here. People don't seem to care honestly. Rooms advertised are not as they state at all. The Suites are only for VIP members which according to them isn't even part of the hotel anymore.. that was just ridiculous and confusing. I travel everywhere around the world and must say this has been one of the worst experiences. Clearly management & owners do not care. Giving complaints do nothing as once you express a concern they just give you the excuse that the supervisor is busy.
