10 days in Boca del Rio at Costa Sol Hotel
We just spent 10 days at Costa Sol Hotel and I can honestly say it was not the best experience of our lives. The hotel lloks nice at the lobby area but as soon as you get to your room everything changes. The frame of the beds is solid concrete and the matresses are thin and old. After a few tries I finally got a room which bathroom was not in such a bad shape but still was not to our expectations. The water pressure on the shower was very low and you were lucky if you could get some hot water. The A/C unit was preset to a specific temperature that you could not change so the room got very cold at nights and we needed to turn it on and off through the night to be able to sleep confortably. There was a night the compressor stopped working so we did not have any A/C and the night was kind of warm. The pool was OK but if you wanted to use the Wave pool you had to pay 150 pesos per person per day. The breakfast was not included even thoughthe package was sold to us with breakfast included. The keys for the room needed to be rest every day because they'd stop working. The only good thing I have to say about this hotel is its location and the fact that all its personnel was very friendly and useful when I complaint about the issues we faced during our stay. I'd not recommend this hotel to anybody unless you're really on a budget.

Great budget hotel; awesome pool!
We really enjoyed this hotel. Its great for families, the rooms are very large and include a separate couch/sitting space as well. The pool area was very large with plenty of loungers and tables and chairs. The downside was that there was no food or drink service around the pool. Also my boyfriend did not like that the balcony overlooked the pool area, he thought it didn't give us any privacy. But overall, we were very happy with this hotel. For the price we paid, it was great!

A place to avoid
The hotel is in lousy conditition, our room was windowless, the shower broken. The elevator did not work, so we had to change the room. The pool is dirty as are all the chairs. Every corner of the hotel needs a paint job. The promised internet had a too weak signal, so it worked only in the lobby area and around the restaurant, even there it crasehd often. Don't go there, we will never return. If you are looking to visit Veracruz, just forget this place: It takes about half an hour by car or bus to go to the city center. Due to the hollidays we paid outrageous rates but it is our fault, we did not find another hotel since we booked only a day before our arrival.

I wanted to stay longer.
There are a friendly staff like this: I wanted to shop something at the store near the lobby about midnight, it was closed, asked for the schedule to one of them, and he also told me there was other store open 24 h/d and where it was. As the hotel is too big, it was at other street near the parking entrance, I did not find it, came back, he wanted to know if I found it, then he guided me to the store. And breakfasts included are some of the best I have had, it was a big deal. Unfortunately I had to leave before check out day because of a family disaster.

The villas were terrible
We arrived late and tired, and we were in a villa out back not the main hotel area. The little villa was nasty. Old and shabby, cracking tiles everywhere and even though it was extremely clean, it still had a depressing feel to it.I have never been to Mexico before so some of this may be just how they do things down there, but there were no bedside lamps or alarm clock, the shower didn't have a curtain or bathmat, and the bedding was just sheets, no beadspread or coverlet. The patio out back was ringed with all these milk jugs or buckets full of dirt and half dead plants in them, and the play area was all rusty and the plastic slide tube had huge cracks in it, I was afraid to let the grandson play on it. We were only there for one night, but I wouldn't go back. The main hotel high rise area looked much nicer.

El hotel ya no cuenta con ningún servicio está como abandonado no hay tv, restaurante, las albercas muy sucias, en los cuartos no hay agua caliente. De plano mal y quien reembolsable lo que cobran si no lo tienes.

No les recomiendo este hotel ni para dormir
Tengan mucho cuidado, pues las imágenes que publican están obsoletas. La alberca tiene moho por todas partes, se ve que no le dan mantenimiento, sólo estuvimos 3 horas en la alberca y fue suficiente para que mis sobrinos tuvieran infección en los ojos. El agua está rezagada pues huele muy mal. En la habitación hay cucarachas. No tienen planta de luz de respaldo, y uno se queda sin A/C y luz durante el tiempo que falla la luz. Los camastros están descuidados y las instalaciones en general también lo están. Y el personal que te recibe es atento pero no resuelven ninguna situación que se presente, así que uno se queda con el problema ya que nadie responde por lo que ahí sucede.

Sin WIFI, sin señal de television y con un servicio pobre en todos los aspectos. El hotel carece de mantenimiento. Uno espera recibir y ver lo que se anuncia en internet pero cuando se esta allí no se recibe nada de lo que uno pago más que aire acondicionado y una cama decente para dormir.

Muy mal el hotel muy descuidado, no había todo lo que ofrecen, desde la botellita de agua, la tv no se veía bien, el aire dejo funcionar una noche, no había el aparato telefónico en la habitación, la regadera se goteaba. nos cambiaron de habitación y esta también tenia fallas, no funcionaba el lava manos.... etc etc etc.... muy mala experiencia en este hotel

Hotel en decadencia
El hotel está en abandono, el lobby tiene polvo sobre las mesas, no se ha dado mantenimiento a la pintura, el restaurante no funciona, la alberca está sucia, el pasto no se corta, está desordenado, no funciona el aire acondicionado, no hay agua caliente, las sábanas parecen muy viejas, las almohadas huelen a perfume ajeno, sólo hay una cama King size en todo el hotel, el personal es escaso e ineficiente. En definitiva no es un buen lugar para hospedarse, está muy abandonado.

PÉSIMO!!!! Las condiciones de conservación, limpieza y servicio del hotel son deplorables y para nada corresponden con lo publicado y tarifa, me fué asignada una primer habitación la cual ademas de encontrarla abierta antes de ocuparla la ropa de cama estaba muy sucia y con cabellos, y mecanismo de la tasa del baño no funcionaba, al reportar esto me asignan otra habitación en donde de igual manera la ropa de cama (fundas y sabanas) y toallas presentaban manchas de liquidos amarillos y de rimel de ojos, instalaciones de baño salpicados y manchados con un liquido azul, ademas de que el aire acondicionado desprendía un olor fétido y desagradable. Por otro lado escasa o nula iluminación en pasillos y zona de acceso y cruce a habitaciones (alrededor de alberca) por falta de personal a dicho del recepcionista. al reemplazarme tanto la ropa de cama como toallas estas estaban tambien en condiciones de desgate manchadas y vieja. En General condiciones y servicio de este Hotel nada recomendables!!!

Al hotel le falta mucho mantenimiento.
Para llegar a la playa hay que caminar por el jardín que le falta mucha iluminación, además hay que cruzar una carretera para entrar a la playa. El gerente del hotel es un grosero prepotente, y comentan las empleadas que las acosa sexualmente.

Mi experiencia fue muy mala. No cumplieron con los requerimientos solicitados (cama king size) y nos dieron dos camas matrimoniales. También nos pusieron en un cuarto que olía mucho a humedad y con una fuga en el baño, y cuando pedimos un cambio nos dieron que no había más habitaciones disponibles. Pedí hablar con el Gerente y no estaba y no había nadie que cumpliera las funciones del mismo. Me comuniqué con Hoteles.com quienes tampoco pudieron hacer nada ya que no había persona que tomara decisiones en el establecimiento. Solicité no hicieran el cargo para buscar otro hotel que por el mismo precio diera mejor servicio y tampoco tuve una respuesta favorable. NUNCA SE HOSPEDEN AHI, en general el hotel es muy viejo y muy feo. Nada con las fotos que ahí ponen.

Desde la recepción fue pésimo el servicio, no tenían mi reserva en el mostrador, tuve que pagar la habitación en efectivo pq no tenían registrado mi reserva, a pesar que les mostré mi comprobante, me asignan mi habitación doblemente pagad y para sorpresa al abrir e cuarto, esta ocupado!!!!! Una vergüenza para nosotros y para los ocupantes de la habitación, después de 30 min nos asignan otra habitación en el ultimo piso, sin elevador y hasta el final del pasillo sucio y oscuro, en muy mal estado en general el hotel. y del trato del personal de la noche de recepción nada bueno que decir. en general UNA MALA EXPERIENCIA.

El hotel no es lo que se presenta por Internet
El hotel fue decepcionante, los cuartos dan muy mal aspecto, la ropa de cama está percudida (sucia), las toallas en muy mal estado y descoloridas que dan un aspecto de estar sucias, el baño con el piso super percudido, la regadera tapada por falta de mantenimiento, para que pudiera salir agua caliente se tenía que dejar abierta la llave por un lapso muy largo y por consecuencia el desperdicio de agua, en términos generales al hotel le hace falta mantenimiento en general. RECOMENDARIAMOS A EXPEDIA QUE SACARA DE SU LISTA A ESTE HOTEL, PORQUE ES DESPRESTIGIO PARA USTEDES.

Hotel agradable cerca de la playa.
Gran ubicación para los que nos gusta estar todo el día en la playa de Boca del Río. Esta cómodo para no salir de esa área. Es un hotel cómodo en términos generales, pero me pareció demasiado caro, el precio que cobraron que fue de 2450 la noche, es mas caro que los grandes hoteles, un exceso esa tarifa, yo lo reservé porque no había mas opciones, me parece que si abusaron por ser temporada de carnaval.

Me he quedado varias veces ahi, pero son preferibles los cuartos de la torre principal. Jr. Suite no tiene vista buena ni a la alberca, huelen un poco a humedad al principio, aunque con el uso se quita.

La estancia fue poco placentera desde que llegamos. La gente es amable pero poco preparada, la recepción bien a medias, el servicio de restaurante mal, no tenían ningún vino, la comida abundante de regular calidad, pero fuera de estándar en cuanto a ingredientes (ensalada del chef). No nos quedaron ganas de comer los siguientes 2 días. El agua caliente tarda 20 minutos en salir, da lastima desperdiciar tanta agua. El aire acondicionado no funciona adecuadamente o muy frío o muy ruidoso a otra velocidad. Yo no regreso aunque me lo regalen.

Me sorprendió muy agradablemente que el hotel cuenta con un restaurante que mantiene precios muy razonables, a demás de que la atención del personal desde la recepción hasta el restauran es buena, con personal que es atento y que cumple muy buen con sus funciones, me dio gusto encontrar a mi Veracruz con su característica alegría y sus hermosas luces de noche, quedamos contentos con nuestra estadía y también con el servicio de expedia

Experiencia en costa sol hotel
hola , mi estancia en el hotel fue buena, ya que solo lo utilice para dormir, en si las instalaciones en las que me hospedaron son buenas, la habitacion es muy pequeña eh incomoda, el serivicio de tv es nulo si no se deja el deposito, cosa que no es buena ya que si quieres ver algo no puede ser, el elevador falla para poder bajar al menos del piso en elq ue yo estaba que fue el cuarto no funcionaba y teniamos que hacerlo ´por las escaleras, fuera de eso todo lo demas estuvo bien.

El hotel estaba súper bien ubicado para asistir al Festival de la Salsa organizado del 16 al 16 de mayo de 2013 en Boca del Río, las instalaciones del hotel están buenas pero les hace falta mantenimiento general. Cuando reservé acá el tipo de habitación decía incluir el desayuno pero en el hotel no tenían noticia sobre esto

Es buena la atensión, pero lo unico que falla es el servicio de televisión, pues los canales de la televisión estan trabados,se les pide a recepción o no atienden la petición.... Escogí el hotel por el precio, en el entendido que no iba a tener todos los beneficios de uno mas caro. La atención e información es mala y de mala gana. Hacia miles de años que no pasaba la supervisora de limpieza a importunarme sobre si me iba a retirar a que hora, en aquel tono autoritario que le exige la gerencia.
