Once we arrived at Playa Tortuga I received a room upgrade and a bottle of wine. I was told the reason was because we were celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary. It was a great touch from the hotel staff and management. The facilities are great but the room needs a little touch up and also was missing ironing boards and a fridge.
Laundry can be had for a small amount of money and I arranged to do laundry in town for $4.50 per load. It was a great experience and once again the staff was outstanding.

Love our stay here. We could not be happier with the facilities or the staff. Everyone was wonderful. We never even left the resort. It was that great. Punta Lava and it's manager Gilberto went out of the way to make us feel welcomed and catered to our mid-western taste buds at a seafood restaurant. We both had 2 massages at the on-site spa. They were very good and reasonably priced. Please take good bug spray if you visit the dock side of the island where Castaways is located. It is surrounded on 4 sides by mangroves and there is not much wind. We only ate there once due to the bugs, but the food and drinks were really good, and really cheap. My only drawback was we had a 3 bedroom villa. There were only 6 pillows. We had to steal from the other rooms. They were thin as a dime. This is just me nitpicking though. The staff, beaches, villas, golf carts, food, and grounds were all fantastic. It is absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be returning soon.

Had 2 bed apartment. Lovely and spacious and loads of wardrobe space and large bedrooms with aircon and fans. Right on the beach so terrace and living area had fabulous views. The staff are very nice, but only speak Spanish, but the owner (I think he is) speaks some English so you can always ring him to get something sorted. Hot water was a problem, first night none but next day they sorted it, however that night there was a long power cut all over Bocas and in the morning we were back to cold water, with only one more night left we decided to live with it. The kitchen doesn't appear to have hot water at all so we boiled water for washing up. Only thing I think could do with changing are the towels as they are worn and greying. I would suggest you pick up basics like water, coffee, drinks etc on the mainland before heading over as the only tiny shop has very little in it not even basics. Be aware that although people say it is quieter than Bocas it is not quiet. There is a bar, grill on next property that is very noisy. Water taxi right at end of jetty in front so super convenient and only couple of minutes to Bocas. Great place and the best view.

When we arrived to the hotel, the staff was there to welcome us, the check-in process was completed in less than 15 minutes. We were a group of 5 (all adults) so we used 2 rooms. Both rooms were good with a/c, cable tv, bathroom and of course the bed, that were comfortable.

I cannot say enough good about this place. . From the friendly, welcoming local staff to the beautiful, clean accomadations to the unparalleled beach views. . Everything was just amazing! It isn't your average hustling, populated resort and that's what we loved about it. The owners are fantastic and have done a great job making this place one of a kind and a family atmosphere. The vibe is so relaxed, bungalow rooms clean and beautiful, and staff willing to help you with any needs. My husband and I had beach-side massages from their wonderful masseuse, candle lit dinner on our bungalow porch and went on an exciting fishing trip with their guide. The management and staff are a pleasure to be around and we felt blessed to get to know a few of them. Azul Paradise truly is a gem and we will be back for sure with more family members! I have been all over the Caribbean and have stayed in some of the finest 5 star resorts and rental homes but this place really stands out. We can't wait to go back!
