"This is a pretty average motel experience in San Francisco. The location is convenient to restaurants on Lombard and Chestnut streets. It is also noisy with street traffic. Parking is $30 per night plus a $15 amenities fee for a closed pool and a soggy croissant. "Great staff and made me feel important as a Gold status member. Paid underground parking is a little steep ($49) but hey! It is fisherman’s wharf San Francisco. "Very nicely maintained old hotel, nice but small rooms with plenty of bathrooms in the halls. Room had TV, large mini fridge and small microwave, plus sink, vanity, closet and small dresser. Bad points were no AC or ice machine and old spring mattresses should be upgraded. Location was awesome- Not too close to BART, but city buses run up nearly every street. SUPER close to Chinatown and the wharves, and hotel staff go to great measures to keep the riff raff outside, although some rooms are longer term occupancy. "The property was historic in it's looks and we loved the feel although the rooms are dark and dingy, the showers didn't work properly and the linen was old and worn.
