hôtel familial

Posted Sep 27, 2015

Bothered in Bodrum

There for one night -- thankfully. Reception desk were helpful, but the room I was in was tired, has painted-over damp spot and was, err, well... basic.

Nice Hotel in great location

Hotel Centro in Bodrum had the most comfortable bed out of my whole trip in Turkey. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

Do Not Stay @ Hotel Centro!

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Nothing - the 'Manager' proceeded to get into a slanging match with my partner when he requested a change of rooms, he was rude and aggressive
Cons: Customer service, room cleanliness, manners & a realisation that people can't stay in shabby, dirty, noisy rooms with windows/blinds that don't open
Location: Visit the Marina, go to Gumbet, Oasis Shopping Mall, Market - even cheaper on Tuesdays
Terrible experience at this hotel as we were allocated a shabby, noisy 'room' where staff camped out on the steps late at night, the 1 small window was locked and blinds unable to open, it was not even big enough to open my suitcase beside the bed! There were polystyrene ceiling tiles glued to the wall as a sort of 'feature' surrounding a tiny flat screen TV with exposed wires at the plug socket. The bathroom had a shower cubicle that did not look clean enough to step into bare-footed, a WC and a vanity sink unit. My Electrician partner noticed there were also uninsulated wires in the bathroom - a tad unsafe! The threshold between the bathroom and bedroom was an aluminium patio door construction, meaning you had to step into and out of each room - a definite trip hazard! It looked like it had been cobbled together. We later found out from the hotel we moved to (Princess Dultia - fabulous hotel!) that around 10 of the 40+ rooms are still in need of refurbishment - we must have been in possibly the worse room there! We arrived around 1.00am & had no choice but to accept it for 1 night, with the assurance we could speak to the manager in the morning and swap the dreadful room. However, in the morning the manager proceeded to argue with my partner, raise his voice and show ignorance and aggression. We checked out immediately, after being given a refund and advised to "walk along the street, there are 5 other hotels". We managed to salvage our holiday by leaving!

Enkelt hotell med fantastisk kock

Posted Sep 29, 2014
