very much a Texas style hotel with rooms named from times gone by. Cool old style decor. Friendly staff. Minutes from Main Street.

Dated & expensivePosted Jun 27, 2015 on Hotels
I couldn't even get to the hotel because all of the roads were closed for a festival. No one informed us about this. When I called the hotel, they didn't even know how to guide me in. The drinks in the bar were expensive and the restaurant seems to be permanently closed. I'm sure that we got the worst room in the hotel. My husband hated it and he's never hated anywhere that we've stayed in our entire marriage. (15 years) Also, the hotel seemed to be really under staffed.

Love Historic Hotels!Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: Lots of character and history, also beautiful setting.
Cons: Grounds could be spruced up. Fogged windows must be changed as most of the old windows were preserved and beautiful.
Location: A fine trail along the Cibolo Creek begins at the hotel and winds through town. Good central location, close to San Antonio.
Since I was doing business in the town, I had hoped to have food not too far away, especially since the weather has been so difficult this last month. When I arrived I learned that the restaurant was closed for renovation. I was also told that the town had several restaurants, but several of these were also closed. I support any and all efforts to renovate the hotel (the paint job and interior work was very nicely done) but it will take some time before they have it under control. The old balcony (beautiful) needs considerable attention and with such a grand old place, where do you begin. At night the AC was a bit minimal and the room too warm. Amenities were therefore quite limited, but I found pleasure in the old place. People were lovely and hospitable, I felt like I was the only guest (and maybe was...) but until the hotel reopens the restaurant and sees a bit more sprucing up, I think they should lower the price and make it quite clear on the web that they are working on it!

Historic HotelPosted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: Very clean and well kept.
Cons: Provide a bathroom for the room.
Location: Right off the main street with plenty of parking and within walking distance of most everything.
Hotel is a historic building built in 1800's. Room was very clean and room comfortable. However, the tub and toilet were in the room with you with only a privacy screen around the toilet. Not very private...

Nice place to stay.Posted May 11, 2015 on Hotels
We really enjoyed the small jet pool outside our room. It was cool enough for my 3 yr old grandson to play in with his aunt. The rooms are small, but beautifully furnished and clean. It is located in the historic district of Boerne with a grass park across the street. There is a lovely walking path along the river.

Great location in the center of townPosted Mar 19, 2015
We were upgraded, due to over booking, to the bridal suite which consisted of an old church converted to a suit, situated behind a large courtyard with an outdoor firepit. Very pretty. The staff were all very friendly and helpful . The restaurant on site also made the whole package above our expectations. I would return without hesitation .
