Very good hotel, wonderful location

Pros: I was very happy with everything.
Cons: The elevators.
Location: Everything we needed was close by.
We have a wonderful time. Everyone was very helpful and kind. The food very good. Every time that I needed something it was attended promptly.

Nice hotel close to the business district.

Pros: The building was very nice and it was set up for weddings and business events-had 6 weddings on Saturday. Would not have to leave premises for food.
Cons: Nothing of any substance. Seem to have it down.
Location: A large shopping mall is across the street along with a casino. I did not go to the casino but some of my friends did and said it was nice.
The service was awesome. we attended a wedding there and it was nice to stay at the same venue. The breakfast bar was delicious with many choices for breakfast. we were very pleased with the facilities and the service. No complaints.

Excellent hotel & service

Pros: Everything
Cons: I wouldn't go as far as saying that everything was perfect but I couldn't point anything wrong either. Things were as expected, or better.
Location: There are not a lot of restaurants around (walking distance), for that I would have preferred a better location. A big mall is right across the street
Our stay at La Fontana was excellent, the room (superior category) was very spacious, above average, and well appointed. The minibar was well stocked and replenished daily, as it should. I read some reviews complaining about a lack of coffee maker but my room was provided with one, I don't know if because of the category. This is not the top category either, just the next to basic, and there are other three categories above that one. Service is top notch. There's no request that goes unattended and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Breakfast, included in the rate, was excellent. My wife also tried the spa several times and was very pleased. I would definitely return to this hotel.

VIP Expedia upgrade was not granted. I had inquired about a king size bed and ended up with a queen size bed. Arrived late at night and had to switch through 8 different rooms due to not cleaned, noisy beds and or with foul smells or with blocked window views due to outside remodeling. Front desk service was horrible during the night shift.Very rude and lacking customer service skills and zero professionalism. Instead of trying to diffuse and professionally handle the initial issues, he took the arrogant, rude and condescending attitude. After complaining through their corporate office in Colombia, the hotel manager and service manager did apologize for the inconvenience and poor handling of the initial issues of the first night. They offered to waive the room upgrade surcharge. I applaud this initiative and professionalism on their side. Food was great and restaurant staff was very friendly along with the bell captains. Hotel installations are very nice. Bed was very hard due to the ultra firm mattresses.

well located.

Pros: Location, and good rooms.
Cons: Customer service.
Location: Unicentro Mall, and restaurants.
The hotel did not honor the included Breakfast for my 2 rooms. I contacted EXPDIA. and they said to me they will re imburse me. I sent the invoice as was asked to do, but not an answer on my claim from EXPEDIA. I have the diferent names of the contacts an Emails etc. Raul Arias Panama

Excellent hotel in good location

Pros: The junior suite.
Cons: Some service issues which we addressed with the General Manager who immediately put things right. The service thereafter was most impressive.
Location: Shopping mall, restaurants and bars within 5 mins walk.
The hotel is well located in the north of Bogota. We stayed in a junior suite which was very comfortable with a separate lounge, dressing area, bedroom and a small kitchen. The room was very well appointed, very comfortable and clean. The restaurant Los Arcos provided a good buffet breakfast. The hotel also has a bar, coffee shop, gym, sauna and Jacuzzi. After a few issues initially the service turned out to be excellent, very attentive and eager to please.

I hate to say this...

Cons: cleanliness, room comfort, food
Location: Unicentro (Shopping) right across the street. Its about 45 minutes from the airport... distances and traffic are crazy in Bogota
...unfortunately this hotel is hardly 4 stars. I will admit, it is in a nice "central" location in Bogota and it has fantastic grounds, but other than that it fails in any other respect. The room was "clean", but the type of clean where if you happen to move something out of place you find a mountain of dust right behind. The bathroom was "clean" but as I was trying to brush my teeth all I could smell was the stench of urine from the toilet. The bed was not only hard as a board it was also lumpy (really bad combination). The pillows were simply giving me an anxiety attack; there were six and none of them was comfortable. The food at the restaurant, TERRIBLE!!! i was hoping to eat typical Colombian food instead the menu listed Vietnamese salad and some other less appetizing plates. I chose the buffet, WRONG choice again! The only thing that I ate: cheese and tomatoes. Everything else looked soggy, watery and just not appetizing. Then I tried to make up for it by going to their "coffee house" for dessert and it was just as bad. The cappuccino was watered down coffee and cold milk and the "mantecada" was probably 3 or 4 days old. Huge disappointment!!!! The reason why I chose this hotel in the first place was location and because i had stayed there 8 years ago and it was fantastic. Sadly it has all changed!!!
