Nice hotel, great when traveling on a budget.

Food is good. The room was ample and clean. This is a great hotel specify if you're on a budget. Well located and the staff was amicable

Nice hotel that could have better beds

We liked the hotel, it was very clean and the staff was great and very helpful!! The hotel could have better beds. PS the hotel breakfast is very good!

The hotel is so elegant & pretty !

Pros: The suite is comfortable and spacious,The staff is friendly, the breakfast is delicious, we had our own private terrace and the location is very good.
Location: It´s a safe neighbourhood and the hotel has its own taxi service. The big malls: Unicentro and Santa Fé are not far from the hotel.
I love this hotel ! The staff is so amiable and we could ask anything anytime, this for sure contributes to the quality of a hotel . The breakfast is one of the best I´ve experienced so far and this wonderful cook prepared the eggs with a smiling face or with a sort of branch-design on the plate, very nice. Details ! I could name Liliana, Andrés , Lorenzo , the wonderful waitress at the breakfast,the friendly receptionists, the pianist , the nice gentleman that welcomed us the first day at the door and always had a friendly smile whenever he met us after that. Thank you so much for making our stay at your hotel a great one ! I will be staying there again, very soon I hope.

Pros: la comunicación de las vías de comunicación y habitaciones.
Cons: el gimnasio y la preparación en el desayuno.
Location: las plazas comerciales esta unicentro y el trasmilenio.
las habitaciones son muy cómodas, el gimnasio esta con aparatos obsoletos viejos y dañados, en el desayuno el personal que los prepara no sabe hacer omelett de claras, nada de puras claras hay que capacitarlo-.

Great Location - Not so Great Beds

Pros: Location, nice breakfast
Cons: Beds, all amenities in bathroom should be free. Bar or liquid soap was not found in the bathroom
Surprising how this highly rated hotel could have such uncomfortable beds. The master room bed was good, but the beds in the 2nd room of the suite was like cardboard as was the pull-out couch. The staff was helpful

I appreciate your comments regarding bathroom amenities, we do provide several amenities free of charge, but there are some extras peoples sometimes may need, those amenities are offered at a charge. I regret the mattresses in the second room of your master suite were not to your liking. Had you contacted our concierge, we could have been able to find a simple solution. We do ask our guests to let us know how we can help them while they stay with us. Many times issues can have a quick and simple solution, but we need to know. If we don't know, we can't help. I hope we can welcome you back to Lancaster House in the future.

disappointed

this was my favorite place to stay in bogota but in the last few year's this hotel and the staff have failed horribly at guest service, cleanliness and attitude towards guest's. the food is just awful will not be back

4.8 Star Hotel

Pros: Very happy with the hotel. Most workers spoke Engish and Spanish. Helpful. Knowledgeable. Clean. Upgraded room to a two bedroom two bathroom.
Cons: Faster room service, more food in the fridge, there should be an iron in the room.
Location: Traffic around that area, and most of Bogota is horrible. Did not explore too much, so would not be a fair opinion.
Very happy with the hotel. Most workers spoke Engish and Spanish. Helpful. Knowledgeable. Clean. Upgraded room to a two bedroom two bathroom. One time I was on the phone with room service, we got disconnected, someone showed up at my door 5 minutes later to take my order in person. VERY IMPRESSIVE. However, after the first night the safe in my room stopped working (simple fix, the batterries needed to be changed). When I called about it at 9pm, woman at reception told me someone would come fix it that night. NO ONE came, I was not happy about this. However the next morning when I called again, someone was there fixing it within 20 minutes. Thank you.

very bad experience

The hotel is not customer oriented, they are business oriented. They said they have problem on some rooms and insist to move my booking to another hotel which is not the same level as the hotel I booked. The reason is simple as I only booked for one night. They do not care if you have any other colleagues staying in same hotel and insist to get the best benefit from their side. If you are traveling for business, strongly recommend that you do not book this hotel. I've been traveling to many countries and staying in many different hotels, this is the worst hotel and experience I have.

Dear Yu-ching, Thank you for candid review. I am sorry for the inconvenience you ha. The hotel was fully booked and we had to take you to a hotel of the same category near us. At the time of reservation there were no comments as you being part of a group, specifically because said reservations came from two different OTAs. In general, when we know there are groups we always keep them together.
