Staff was helpful and attentive. Not too much to do within walking distance. Busy main road in front easy to grab a cab. Rooms were nice and big but kitchen could use updating.breakfast was good and varied.

Nice hotel, just need to renewal the furnitures

Great Hotel, in the nice part of town in Bogota

I loved this hotel, the rooms are like an apartment or suite they have kitchens and a living room. The staff was amazing friendly and helpful. This included the breakfast crew as well. We also hired a driver this was my first time doing that and it was well worth the price and time.. Ricardo was an amazing driver. Tell him Wendy and Rollo highly appreciated his assistance!

Safe and clean home base for tourists.

Pros: We loved the service it provides, the staff were helpful and wanted to please; a feeling of being pampered and protected. The staff make this place.
Cons: Language barrier. It was advertised as multilingual. Only the concierge spoke it, we had to proxy through the front desk and line was often busy.
Location: There are a couple of commercial centers North and South of the hotel, about 20 minutes walking. The area is busy and safe at most times.
It's an old hotel. It's not a pseudo art deco, it's the real deal- it feels like it's been around for 50 years. The food is okay but pricey considering it is meant to be for tourists, it is much better to go out. I found the breakfast buffet to be an excellent deal since we could load up on calories for free and go out and peruse, but for evening dining the menu seemed naively executed; pizza had way too much cheese, burgers were not very hot and the bun was on the colder side. Having coffee or tea brought to the room was lovely. For the price it's an amazing deal.

Pleasant hotel near several amenities.

Pros: Friendliness and willingness to be of help.
Cons: Make sure the rooms, faucets, showers etc are working properly.
Location: The location is excellent. Close to transportation, and shopping.
I had a pleasant stay at Lancaster House. The problems my daughter and I had were solved immediately, pleasantly and efficient. The staff as chambermaids, restaurant and porters went out of the way to help us. The reception was particularly friendly. I appreciated the girl that works in the reception in the evening shift. Unfortunately I don't know her name. She was very conscientious, friendly and helpful. She also has a very good sense of humour. Every time I go to Bogota I stay at Lancaster House. It feels a home away from home.

Not as expected

My two sisters and I booked the hotel online thinking this was a very nice hotel. At the arrival to the hotel, we found out that there was only one bed and a sofa bed. One of us sleept in it but was very unconfortable, so we asked for another bed instaid of that, we were provided with two portable beds which were at the floor level and had very hard mattreses. We try to sleep on those beds but we couldn't as they were very unconfortable too, finally we were provided with matress tops which help a little. the shower time was a nightmare, little water sometimes too hot or to cold. Hours waiting at the restaurant for service as there were short staff. I could say there was a person runing every were to attend customers. My sisters and I just to feel sorry for him. Definitely not a good experience.

Very nice hotel with living room and kitchen area.

Pros: The breakfast provided was very nice.
Cons: The bed was a little too hard but they tried to fix that by adding a pad.
We enjoyed our stay. The living area provided a place where we could have friends in to visit. It was more than I expected and very comfortable.

Hotel has issues

What seemed to be so accommodating turned out to be a disappointment. The room of one member of our party had not been cleaned yet he was given the key. Our rooms were not cleaned because we had not put out a sign requesting so yet I requested the front desk to notify housekeeping. The restaurant was disappointing as we waited an hour and a half for our meals. We heard the hotel is being sold so items were limited.

As far as the story of the hotel being sold, I can assure you this is not the case, and there are no limited items at the hotel.
