Good experiencie

It was a good experience for The most. The noice of cars was not a good thing though. The staff from the receptionist, maid and restaurant and bar were great .

Says four stars but I would say three. Breakfast was the same most days and often waited for items including coffee. Only met two staff that spoke English which made it hard sometimes. Staff are always ready to help. List of local restaurants near by would have been nice. List of local attraction would be helpful.

Stay at Lancaster House

Pros: I liked it cleanliness, service, friendliness of staff. I was provided with a doctor when I fell ill at no cost.
Cons: Sometimes small things like sinks a bit plugged or light bulbs broken, but these are minor details.
Location: I would recommed, the Gold Museum, the mountains of Monserrate and Guadalupe, Simon Bolivar's Park, Virgilio Barco's Library and The Botannical Garden
This is the 5th time I have gone to Lancaster House. I find the hotel well kept, the service and staff are very accommodating, clean and eager to please. I often stay there when I go to Bogota.

Three of us stayed here in separate rooms for five days to attend a conference. The food was good and the rooms were well suited for working when we weren't attending the conference. One of the men found the workout room small but very sufficient for his exercise.

nice hotel not near tourist sttractions

Pros: Staff bar breakfast size of room
Location: A middle class shopping street with many good restaurants is only a few blocks walk through an interesting, safe neighborhood.
Everything is just fine except we spent too much time in taxis going to Candaleria. Rooms facing the highway are noisy when the windows are open.

nice hotel but be aware of the extra charges

good but they don't tell you about the prices of thier services like laundry for example and they don't wanna charge extra money at checkout for security fees other than that it's a nice hotel

Oasis of comfort in an uncomfortable city

Location: Its a bit far from things but no real problem.
Excellent and safe. Zero issues with any part of this hotel and HIGHLY recommended. And with my expedia reward points the price was an unbelievable value!!

Big rooms

The I liked the hotel. Just keep in mind 2 things. The mattress is too hard. And the hotel charge a tax that hotels.com nor the hotel warns about. I had to pay an extra 60 dollars of tax for my stay at the hotel.

I am sorry you did not read in our hotel information that there is a VAT tax that has to be charged according to Colombia law for any Colombian citizen or foreigner that does not show the appropriate stamp from immigration.

Good value, HUGE room, inconvenient location

Our group of five missed our flight, couldn't get on our second flight, finally arrived to Bogota at the third attempt. Hotel was very responsive and accommodating rescheduling our airport pickup. Our driver Ricardo was very nice and made the trip to the hotel comfortable. Our two master suites were bigger than most San Francisco apartments. All five of us could have stayed in one master suite comfortably. I agree with other reviewers, softer towels would have been nice. Felt like I was exfoliating myself when was drying off. In regards to the bed, at first I thought it was too firm but the firmness was nice after hours of slouching on the plane. For the price and the space, this was a good hotel. However, for our quick trip to Bogota, especially due to the traffic conditions the location of this hotel is not convenient when traveling to Bolivar Plaza, Zone G, and Zone T. Hours in a cab or uber was not worth it.
