These The Boise River at Ann Morrison Park. Just to the right i( not in photo) is the location where rafters and tubers get out of the river. They start at Barber Park.
#EndlessSummer The #Idaho state Capitol building in #Boise is a beautiful piece of #architecture. Nice interior to the Idaho Capital Pond at sunset This old bridge is a pedestrian path over the Boise River just west of Firemans Park. The trail continues up the hill to the Boise bench or you can follow the river going east or west. Colors along the Boise River Greenbelt are still vibrant. This photo was taken just West of the Veterans Memorial Parkway, Road. #EndlesesSummer Referred to as Quinn's pond along the Boise river Greenbelt. This place is full of swimmers, SUP, etc in the summer. A whitewater park for Kayakers is close by on the Boise river as well as a shop to rent equipment. Love this place!
#EndlessSummer There are several places along the Boise River Greenbelt that have little ponds and or lakes. This lake is right next to veterans memorial park. To the east of this will be a new park opening soon call Esther Simplot park and just east of this park is Quinn's pond, which is a popular summer spot for swimming, SUP, canoeing. #EndlessSummer Amazing bike trail! The river views and spectacular. Great place to bring a picnic and relax. Hiking Drycreek Trail in the Boise Foothills. Great local hike.
#takeahike Love at Table Rock. Great little country bar in Boise. Ride the bull, get into some line dancing, or just finish your drink at the bar, after all theyre sober people in Utah. YeeeHaw! Mushroom madness at the market! #shrooms #morels #fiddleheadferns #woodsorrels #fresh #farmersmarket #idaho Capital in Spring. The view from Table Rock. There are 5 different trails to the top. The cross has been here since 1956. Capital ceiling from below. Boise is a hip city and a great place to live. Woodland Empire Ale had some of the most delicious #craftbeer in #Boise. Complete with a nice interior and just barely outside the main downtown. Also, right next to Pre Funk if you want something brewed elsewhere after. The view from last night 🌻💕 #thisisboise #visitboise #7spring #tablerock #castlerock #thefray #idahome #sunset #wildflowers The famous Boise ice cream potato- all ice cream (and cocoa powder), no actual potato. Great food and atmosphere Good place to hike, see fall and spring colors with city in background. Some of the more interesting #craftbeer in #Boise came from Cloud 9, a beautiful little nanobrewery in the western part of downtown. The Earl Grey Stout was probably my favorite. Who would imagine such an edgy funky place in Boise, Idaho? The Icetini was refreshing and the food incredibly tasty. Try the trout. Step back in time for a 1950s soda fountain ambience, music, service and choose between excellent homemade ice cream, variety of popcorn, candy, chocolates, hot teas and hot chocolate, or get them all! Good prices and something to enjoy all seasons. #FoodieFinds Obsessed with the fall leaves and blue skies 🍁🍂 Boise, the capital of Idaho, the state famous for its potatoes. 😂
I have lived here for almost two years, this park has been my favorite place, for all seasons.
It is a White Christmas here. It is amazingly pretty, even though it is really freezing outside, roads are a little rough to drive and I've caught cold and have scratchy throat. 😊
Merry Christmas everyone.
#WinterWonders #merrychristmas If you have the opportunity to visit Boise be sure to check out all the hiking trails off Lucky Peak Reservoir. This trip I took my little side kick Sophie along. She doesn't like being carried even if she's dog tired.
#takeahike
Eccentric restaurant close to downtown, great rooftop, happy hour and interesting decor! Visit former Mayor Jacobs house next to the museum and learn history of the Basque families and boarding house here. Also note the sibling Tree of Guernika in front of the house. #Green Go BSU!! After visiting the memorial, take the short trail to Boise river for a picnic on banks and in summer, bring an inner tube for a free way to cool off. #Green #SpringFun #TakeAHike Established in 1863 and moved here in 1903 after a flood, pay respects to those lost in Indian Wars and the Civil War. Take biking and walking trails in this park too. GPS has problems finding it, but is only a short distance on gravel road from Mountain Cove Road. Clouds and building pose for a picture. I wonder if Boise always has a beautiful sky? What a fun city! Sunset in Boise, Idaho Street art in beautiful Boise. Boise is the capital city of Idaho. The Boise River Greenbelt is a series of tree-dotted trails and parks hugging the water's edge. What a nice surprise to fine a city with fab restaurants and art. Who woulda guessed? #red Enjoy a day of fishing, swimming, rafting, walking or biking along the river, especially nice during summer. Not for the casual margarita drinker. Has jalepeno seeds. Super really hot, spicy. For a change of pace and open for 10 years, good traditional Argentinian savory and sweet empanadas and subs. Especially good beef, chicken and caramelo empanadas. Public park on the Boise river with human rights memorial to Anne Frank and others, benches, walking and biking trail and tree sapling. Take time to read the inspiring quote wall and info placards. Explore the historic Basque district downtown and visit this museum to learn history of the largest Spanish Basque community in the U.S., located here in Boise. Walk in the Basque district downtown and come in for a drink at the bar, community center and event space for rent. Next to the museum see the sculptures and info placard about laiaks, traditional Basque farming tool, and tribute to the seven provinces. After visiting the memorial, take the park's trail over this 1911 pedestrian bridge over the Boise river.
