Budget choice but not worth it

Pros: Location
We needed a convenient stop on our way north. That is about the only good thing about this hotel. Biggest gripe was about the in room coffee. Their was an old filter still in the machine. The included two decafs but only one regular. Not a good start to the day. The rest of the room showed similar lack of attention in cleaning. Bed was old and very very soft. Breakfast was bland.

The hotel was okay and the majority of the staff were very kind, but they are in the middle of remodeling it so it was quite dirty in certain areas. The carpet was especially nasty!

Good place to stay with dogs

Pros: Doggie area
We always stay at this La Quinta on our way to Oregon. It's well located for our travel itinerary. There is never any problem with bringing in our dogs - no extra charge and the doggie area is very nice. Grass is nice with no weeds and quite large, right outside the back door. This last time there were no bags in the dodo container and we noticed not much poop had been picked up. We always bring our own bags but it doesn't look like all do the same. Please supply bags!! All in all great stay. Room was clean and comfy.

Ok, not as good as LaQuinta

Beds not real comfy, mouse poo behind door in bathroom, no working vending machines, noise.

Given the way the hotel is constructed, it would be nearly impossible for mice to infiltrate guest rooms, walls, etc. Rest assured we take these allegations seriously, and we will look into the matter immediately. Older hotel

Hotel is in desperate need of a remodel. Carpet worn out, chair had holes in seat and bathroom was terrible. Pool had hair in it and on walking area. Staff was nice.

Pool hours changed

We have always stayed at this La Quinta while in Caldwell, which is frequently to visit family. The reason we have stayed there has been the 24 hour pool. This last weekend marks the last of our stays there. The pool is no longer 24 hour. When asked why that was changed the lady at the desk was very rude. She even said, "you are more than welcome to stay somewhere else." And you can bet we will.

Easy access from the freeway

The people were friendly and the stay was acceptable. I just needed a place to sleep in the middle of a road trip. Easy access on and off the freeway.
