Posted May 29, 2017
This hotel was under going a face lift, wifi did not work most of the time. I feel as a third party you so overcharged.

The ancient air conditioner kept us awake

Posted May 19, 2017
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Not a good experience. We booked from Expedia and were not advised we would be in the basement. Cold, old and loud.....

Basement ........

Posted May 14, 2017
Our room was in the basement --- the 1970's air conditioner clattered and banged all night. The low ceilings and maroon painted walls made you feel you were in a doll house. The mattress on the bed was the ONLY redeeming quality. If I knew we were going to stay in a basement room I would of chosen another facility.

I have always been pleased with my stays at the the Laquita. Not so much this time. The Hotel supposedly is under construction. But I won't take that as an excuse. Nor should that be an excuse. The room was dirty and smelled like a wet dog. Floors needed vacuumed and mopped. Told the guy/receptionist working and asked to switch rooms. He said the hotel was booked and couldn't switch rooms. He sprayed some room deodorizer that didn't really help. I will not book there again.

Nice hotel - Pet friendly

Posted Apr 30, 2017
Pros: We liked everything about the hotel.
Location: Located just off the I-84 in Caldwell, ID. 25 minute drive to Boise Zoo. 15 minutes to movie theatre in Nampa.
The hotel had a great pet area. The heat and the air conditioning worked extremely well. Hot breakfast, fridge, microwave, & coffee maker included in the price, also no extra charge for the pets.

Beat up from the floor up

Posted Apr 27, 2017
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Finish updating
I was in Caldwell to buy a truck I flew in from Nevada . I have stayed at plenty of la Quinta's and was not impressed at all with this one. I'm so lucky that I was able to get a discount rate because of Expedia because the hotel is charging a rate that they not even close to deserving. This place is dirty, out of date, not comfortable, not what I was expecting from la Quinta . I realize they're working on the hotel and hope it will be better but clean up as you go. I stayed so I did not lose my money and that was the only reason.

Pros: Breakfast ok. Large tv nice.
Cons: Overall appearance, room cleanliness, needs bathroom ammenities. Walls are spotted and dirty. The bed is comfortable but everything else is minimum.
Being remodeled and sure needs it. Colors of walls are horrible. Bedroom furniture awful. Only 1 chair - where does second person sit?

great accomodations

Posted Apr 19, 2017
Pros: Room very clean and wonderful king size bed.
Cons: They are still remodeling so they are making many improvements.
Location: The Caldwell exit was a little weird but a great location if you need to stop for the night.
We thought we had reserved a room at a different motel with Expedia, but we had been on the road with poor internet service on our iphone and our reservation had not been made nor a confirmation sent. Expedia no longer had that motel listed so we went with La Quinta. The outside wasn't beautiful but our room was very nice, everything updated or new. Pleasant surprise.

We were in basement. Kind of creepy. Curtains didn't close all the way. You could see cars in parking lot. Had to lug our bags down stairs. No pool, no icemachine. The whole place needs updating. Breakfast was ok. Eggs and sausage not hot. Windows were not very secure.
