Ok placePosted Oct 15, 2015
Great downtown location. Hotel is a bit past time for an update. Staff good to excellent. Person in cafe was outstanding. Carpets bad in room as well as public areas. Offering free Wifi of slow speed then promoting for pay upgrade is tacky.

Pros: the location
We were very happy with our accommodations and extremely happy with the hotel staff. The check in clerk helped us with directions to an event we had come to Boise for. He printed out directions for us and delivered them promptly to our room. We also found the restaurant wait staff to be very accommodating and attentive. It was a great experience.

Was in Boise for a wedding. Stayed at the Red Lion and was pleased with the staff and the hotel in general.

Convenient locationPosted Aug 28, 2015
Pros: It was in a convenient location for our needs.
Cons: New carpet
Coffee is only available until 9:00 am and then it is over $2 per cup. No continental breakfast. Smells like old carpet throughout facility. Could be cleaner.

Almost Everything Was Perfect… AlmostPosted Aug 21, 2015 on Hotels
This is the third time I have stayed here and only the first time I have anything negative to say about it. The hotel is very clean and staff is very nice. The beds this time were awful. My father in law and I stayed here and both of our backs were killing us in the morning. The other two visits to this hotel (both within the last 3 months), the beds were great. Therefor, I am almost positive this is just one of those unlucky occurrences. If you stay here, you need to eat at the restaurant and bar inside… delicious food!

An average hotel for a higher hotel price!Posted Aug 21, 2015 on Hotels
The room was very old, it may need some renovations for the prices they charge. I always thought of Red Lion to be on the better end of hotels. It was located across from a strip club which is easy access for non-family stay. The stay was okay, on a better note, it did have an adequate gym. The restaurant was pretty spendy for breakfast. You would get a better deal eating elsewhere.

Pros: Nice and quick check in. Great employees at front desk.
Cons: Cooler temperatures in lobby and elevators and halls
Location: Close to downtown Boise.
Room was comfy and clean. Overall the hotel is a bit dated, but suited me fine for one night. I may or may not stay there again.

Nice place to stay if you have to stay in Boise. The hotels there range in two categories: horrible and fantastic. This is a great place with excellent accomidations at a fair rate. My only complaint was one staff member was pretty rude to me but i cant shun the entirety of this place for one jerk. Great place- makes you feel like Sinatra.
