Beginning to Show Its Age
This place is beginning to show its age. Maintenance is lacking (the shower curtain rod was about ready to come off the wall, toilet was loose on the flange, microwave door was cracked) and after staying here off and on over the past 12 years, we may be looking for a new place to stay while visiting Boise. The free, hot breakfast is one of the best around and the staff is very friendly. The place just needs a little TLC...

This places bathroom was disgusting and I didn't realize the dirty shower curtain liner until 9 or 10 pm at night. Pee on side of toilet if something goes idk it was gross!!!

Credit card reader failed and the staff had problems troubleshooting the issues. After several tries they said I had a credit card on file from previous visits and let us go to our room. I checked the charges at checkout and they were correct and I didn’t get billed twice due to the machine failure. We also wanted a room with a table instead of a bar and the staff was able to relocate us to one of those. No other issues other than these.

We consider this property an excellent place to stay. What we DIDN’T like was the availability of NETFLIX. A minor point as we could watch the end of our favourite series on an iPad - just inconvenient.

I you can pay for a suite, Residence Inn is good.
I notified front desk about stuck open outer window, maintenance arrived but it was never closed. Two desk persons did not know how to operate the Internet TV, a third one did. The breakfast coffee did not taste good. I wonder if the source was the brand or the pot needed cleaning. Otherwise the breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed having two tables, one for each of us.

Marriott can do better
While the convenience of having two rooms and a kitchen is huge there is some work to do. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The rooms are tired and worn at best, and the attention to details was missing. For example our room reeked of petrulli oil, it smelled like a Grateful Dead Den and I asked to move rooms but there was none available. They did give us some deodorizer but the smell lingered the entire time we were there. There was a used coffee grind in the coffee pot, the body wash was near empty in one of the bathrooms, there was hair in the other bathroom, a broken mirrored closet door, no luggage stands, and we decided to run all the dishes through the dishwasher to be sure it was clean. The cabinets are worn and could use some TLC. I expect more from Marriott...........the pandemic is over and the "Covid Crutch" doesn't fly anymore. Step up and be better Marriott. We will likely do Airbnb next time.

Staff customer service is above average. In spite of being next to a freeway, it was amazingly peaceful and quiet. Best breakfast bar I've ever seen-- even in higher cost hotels.

Stay was excellent. Room was clean and in excellent repair. Everything worked and no sign of damage anywhere. Internet was easy to hook up to and had great download and upload speed. As someone there on business and needed good upload speed it was nice.

The bathroom floor hadn't been cleaned. There were clothing tag remnants and hairs in the corners. The chairs in the front room had white smears of something gross on them. The pull out sofa hadn't been made and after we went and got blankets and sheets and started to make it, we discovered a lot of popcorn all over inside the pull out. Also, I appreciate the LED lighting however Marriot should upgrade to the warm LEDs as their lighting is very cold feeling in many of their hotels. This hotel is super bright and cold feeling in their lobby/eating area.

Wonderful staff. Very clean. All was as expected. We enjoyed the all hours hot cocoa/coffee self service area. We did not like that the pool was FREEZING cold. Our kids were so excited for the pool and can stand cold temps for long times, but they did not last long. Breakfast selection was great. Would be nice to have some non-dairy milk options and the scrambled eggs were not good. Not sure why. Staff working breakfast was extremely courteous and nice.

Overprice Residence Inn was a huge disappointment. Hard bed Worn out hide-a-bed Barking dogs all. night. long. No service for the rooms throughout visit Hallways littered with trash and towels. 2 one gallon trash cans for rooms with kitchens
