BRRRRRR.Posted Oct 2, 2014
Pros: The breakfast and staff serving it was terrific.
The hotel staff was nice, however my room was cold. When I asked the desk about why my heater did not seem to work I was rudely told all heat is off. Apparently in Idaho, you are not allowed to be cold in September. The hotel according to this dude will not activate the heater. He gladly sent me a blanket.

My Rodeway Inn visitPosted Sep 24, 2014 on Hotels
Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the beds comfortable. I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere that didn't have at least hand soap in the room. While I take shampoo, conditioner and body wash wherever we go I don't carry hand soap. Just found this a little strange. The other thing that was kind of weird is the free breakfast only went until 9 am. and we weren't told the café would only be open until that time. Didn't really matter I guess since we didn't get back from the football game until 12:30 pm we new we wouldn't make it to breakfast just thought 9am was a little early to shut it off.

Touring the capitalPosted Sep 21, 2014 on Hotels
We were on a 14 day road trip to 6 states to tour the Capitol buildings. Boise was our last stop. This hotel is beside a hospital, we weren't bothered by any excess sirens etc. Room was clean, comfy, in a good location, staff was friendly, no elevator, pool was clean, large hot tub, lifts for physically challenged, playground apparatus, tether ball, hot breakfast in the attached restaurant. We found the people of this city to be the most friendly on our trip from Gas attendants to servers to fast food workers and major store cashiers.

Visit to Idaho's Capitol CityPosted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Went there to sleep, and we got it.
Cons: Nothing. I had what I expect in a moderately priced motel
Location: VERY convenient to find, get to, and get out of. We didn't explore much nearby.
Was OK. Had all the comforts I expect in a motel. Not exceptional, but definitely OK. I would stay there again.

Unpretentious, older motel.Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: Surprisingly nice breakfast buffet included with the room rate. Lots of available parking.
Cons: The room could have used some fresh paint and new wallpaper, but the towels were soft and the TV worked fine.
Location: Right off the highway, 3 miles from Downtown Boise and BSU.
Friendly staff, low price, close to downtown. We could overlook the slilghtly run-down character of the place. We were travelling on business, and it was comfortable and well-located.

Good for the price.Posted Sep 8, 2014
Stayed here on the way to Utah, and then again on the way back. Desk clerk screwed up on the first night and gave us the wrong room number. The key would not work and so the housekeeping lady used her key to let us in. She said that it sometimes took a while for the key to update. We took our stuff in and started to unpack as it was almost midnight and we wanted to get to bed. Something in the back of my mind said go and check with the desk clerk as to why the key was not working yet. Just as well I did, as he gave me the wrong room number, 223 instead of 233. He fixed the problem without an apology, and I went back to the room to give the wife the bad news. She was already in her Pj's so she was not amused. We moved to the correct room and unpacked again. I don't know who would have been shocked more if I had just waited until morning to sort out the key problem. Us, or the person who came into that room while we were in bed, thinking it was empty! As to the room, it was clean and tidy, had towels, soap, shampoo and coffee. Continental breakfast was included. Eggs and sausage, cereal, toast, muffins, bananas or oatmeal. On the whole it was good enough for the $67 night I payed.
