remodel

Posted Jul 3, 2017
Pros: beds and breakfest
Cons: To have been notified of construction! The place was torn apart! I believe we should have paid less!
We were disappointed in the construction and would not have stayed if we had known! The staff was great and beds comfy but we should have been told! prior to our stay or received a discount..

Under construction

Dirty carpet in room. Areas under construction without closed access = unsafe. Staff "not my job / problem".

The room was nice. We could hear the traffic from the freeway and the airport all the time. Breakfast was good.

I wouldn't recommend simply for the situation of being overpriced and under construction. The front staff was struggling a bit with organization. IE already checked someone else in under my name, so they had to come down for us to straighten things out, etc. But everyone was very nice I will say despite the circumstances.

Friendly, close to food, nice room

Posted Jun 25, 2017
Remodeling, truck rest stop, half the times no clean glasses or cups, one day no cleaning, key card didn't work first 3 days then they realized they didn't load our key card for a whole week. Room was large, bed comfortable. Nice breakfast. Staff very nice.

Needs repair/upgrade

Posted Jun 8, 2017
Pros: Close to freeway
Cons: Building in need of complete renovation
Location: Adjacent to large truck stop and close to the airport.
Not to normal Shilo standards. Bathroom not clean. Mold and mildew on bathroom tile especially in bath tub/shower area. Also mold on shower head. In main part of room, a wall electrical outlet cover plate was missing the attachment screw and was hanging from the electrical cords. Wall door stop for main entry door was detached from wall. Carpet worn and not very clean. Whole building in need of upgrade. Good news is, according to staff, building has been sold to another motel chain and some renovation was under way. However still operating as a Shilo Inn.

Hotel Construction

Posted Jun 5, 2017
This hotel was under renovations when I stayed this weekend and it would have been nice to know prior to having stayed. My room was very old and dated and had a smell. When I checked in the computers were down which took about 10+ minutes to check me in. The front desk girls were very kind and polite which made the process better. They dealt well under pressure of their computers not working and having a lobby full of people to check in. I am sure when this hotel is renovated completely it will be nice but I felt the pictures were misleading. The bed was comfy but the bedding was awful.

Near the airport

Posted May 26, 2017
Pros: A lot of breakfast options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price.
Cons: Clean carpets and bedding.
Location: Had to go to the military base. Very close.
Hotel was ok. Lots of stains on carpet and bedding. The bathroom needed some work. A lot of the rooms were under construction. It was quiet though. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location for us. I would try again after rooms are remodeled.
