Near the airport

Posted May 26, 2017
Pros: A lot of breakfast options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price.
Cons: Clean carpets and bedding.
Location: Had to go to the military base. Very close.
Hotel was ok. Lots of stains on carpet and bedding. The bathroom needed some work. A lot of the rooms were under construction. It was quiet though. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location for us. I would try again after rooms are remodeled.

Close to the airport and all the amenities needed

Posted May 25, 2017
Pros: The staff made this a pleasant experience.
Cons: Renovation is under way, much needed!
Location: Truck stop in the same parking lot did not pose any issues. Everyone was nice. Near the airport and grocery stores, shopping, etc.
Hotel is at a truck stop. Has everything you need for a quick night or two. Staff was quite friendly. Hotel is under construction and certainly in need of it. Bed was comfortable. Pool was heated to 90 so we enjoyed it in the evening with a cool breeze. Work out room offered the basics however some of the equipment didn't work. Sauna didn't work. Honestly, this place worked for us and was reasonable in price.

Better places to stay in Boise

Posted May 24, 2017
Pros: Cheap. It was cheaper than the Super 8 we had stayed at in Jackson Hole,
The hotel is nestled between I 84 offramp and a truck stop. This was a complete last-minute booking as we drove home from Yellowstone and the grand Tetons. Will give hotel benefit of the doubt as they are in the middle of renovations. There was only one person working in the hotel that night, as far as we could tell. She explained what was going on with the renovations. After we parked our car and went into the side door, it felt like we were in the twilight zone. Everyone in our party commented on how creepy the hotel felt. They are super long hallways and I don't think we saw more than one other party staying at the hotel. this is not a small hotel, either. When we got to our room it was nice and large, in fact the largest of the five we stayed out on our trip. One thing I found was weird, while nice, it felt like we were given a room not used too often. You know how hotels always have those this is all about our hotel books, a pad of paper and a pen ...that kind of stuff. There was nothing. we wanted to use the pull out sofa couch bed, and there were no sheets so we had to call and have some delivered. The gal let the front desk completely unmanned to deliver them. And we were in a room the most farthest back of the hotel from the front desk. We needed towels to go swimming and she only had one clean one left so we all had to share. Wifi was bad. Complimentary breakfasts... I have given up on them. But the coffee was decent.

We didn't spend much time there because of the activities going on but wished we could've actually spent another night because the room was very nice. We will definitely stay there again next year

Hotel Upgrade

Posted May 22, 2017
We are very pleased to see the commitment of Shiloh Inn to update/upgrade this facility. Because of its convenient location to family, we have stayed here many times over the last 9 years.

Great hotel for the price.

Posted May 18, 2017
The only reason I don't give best rating is because it is not really five star level. But for the price it's great. Very friendly staff, good breakfast with a lot of variety. Slightly outdated, just kinda old fashioned. Beds are comfortable.

Excellent Staff

Posted May 15, 2017
Shilo Inns is not a 5-star hotel, but the rooms were very clean and the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We needed a hotel close to the airport because we had an early flight. When we checked-out, the complimentary breakfast was not available yet (it was pretty early), but they offered to have us take some cold items with us (bagel, yogurt, etc.). That was very kind. We didn't get any chance to use the on-site facilities, but they seemed adequate. For the price, this hotel is wonderful.

If I had not prepaid, I would have walked out.

Posted May 9, 2017
Pros: The staff seemed very friendly and helpful. They were not dressed professionally at all, but they seemed eager to help.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Directly next to a busy truck stop.
If I had not already prepaid for 3 nights (I was in town for my son's graduation from Boise State), I would have walked out. The lobby seemed "ok", but the entire building inside and out is old, outdated and run down. Apparently they are in the process of a complete remodel which they did NOT list on their website! Many of the rooms we walked past had doors that were not secured, dust, drywall and the smell of cigarettes everywhere. The hotel is right next to a busy truckstop and all that involves. I would NEVER recommend this hotel.
