Water problems

Posted Sep 10, 2016
Pros: Nothing.
Location: Poor location for walking about and exploring area.
All water turned off one afternoon for maintenance. No hot water next morning due to "burst pipe." No accommodation on charges.

Nice hotel terrible bed

Posted Sep 4, 2016
Check in was A+ warm cookies, lounge music, great parking, nice staff. Room itself was on second floor and was clean but definitely older. Could still hear lounge downstairs but music was pleasant. View of roof-no river views on second floor. Property is huge and right off of freeway. Coffee maker was strange-would have preferred just a small pot w real mugs. Terrible awful worst bed ever. It sagged and squeaked and I woke up at 2:30am with a seized up mid back from the terrible mattress. Almost moved to floor but instead slept in chair rest of the night. 2 days later and my back is still hurting. Also left out a request on the door for coffee delivery at 7:30 and after my terrible night was up early waiting for it. At 7:45 went outside door and request was never picked up. To their credit they delivered a large pot of coffeea few min after I called but disnt bring mugs so used old paper ones I found on the cabinet. Not a great morning. However--breakfast buffet was top notch--tons of options, fresh fruit, coffee! And really one of the best I have had. I would return if and only if they had new beds -that thing was a joke

Nice Surprise

Posted Aug 29, 2016
Pros: Riverwalk to restaurants and kayaking was nice upgrade.
Great convention hotel hidden away along the riverwalk. Riverside was very interesting with kayakers and birds to watch. Room was nice, clean and roomy.

Pleasantly surprised!

Posted Aug 26, 2016
Pros: Classy older hotel still used for many meetings and. Conventions. Entertainment in the lounge and also by the pool.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Didn't look for attractions. Just one night stopover.
Easy check in with a warm cookie to start. Rooms are well done and beds are very comfortable. Plenty of toiletries and towels plus a great shower. Restaurant in the hotel that is open for dinner and the breakfast was superb with freshly cooked omelettes plus much more. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great place for a "staycation"

Posted Aug 22, 2016
Pros: location next to Greenbelt
Cons: Pool a little dirty, servers a bit overwhelmed by the crowd
Location: Easy access to the Boise Greenbelt and bikes for rent by the hour or day.
Resort feel in pool area, not enough lounge chairs on weekend days but a lot of fun

6 nights of bliss

Posted Aug 21, 2016
Pros: Everything - clean, comfortable, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, beautiful setting. There wasn't one thing I didn't like!
Cons: I can't think of anything at all to change.
Location: The location next to the river was so relaxing! I watched the kayaks and tubers float by. The hotel rents bicycles. Visited Joe's Crab Shack
I spent 6 days in Boise and choose the River Hotel. The room was spacious and gave me lots of room to spread out my work. The bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing! The staff was kind, happy, and smiled a lot. The food at their 2 restaurants was delicious and the setting right on the Boise River with all the green space was beautiful and relaxing. I will be traveling to Boise a couple of more times this year and will make my reservations at The River Hotel. It's absolutely perfect!

Everyone is very friendly, service and food is very good. Live entertainment at pool and bar every day/night. Sits right on the Boise river/walk, rents bikes has a pool for kids, all around great place.
