The Riverside is usually always nice.

Posted Nov 21, 2016
Pros: Jon out desk clerk
Cons: Furniture & decor Don't have my jacuzzi stop every 15 minutes
We treated ourselves and booked an Executive Suite (#309) for 3 nights. The furniture and decor were (gag) disappointing. Way too 60's. Very ugly lamps & mismatched furniture. For the price we paid, we expected better.

Great river view from our balcony

Posted Nov 20, 2016
Pros: The old time ambiance
Location: Close to shopping area, walking distance to Joes Crab Shack
We were only ther for one night, but enjoyed our stay. Will return again in the summertime to take full advantage of a mini getaway.

In town for football game

Enjoyed our stay plus you get breakfast buffet coupons for each morning. Close to downtown and stadium. Property right on Boise river. Outside looks older but rooms are nice and roomy.

COURTYARD RELAXING AND FUN

Posted Oct 30, 2016
Pros: THE USE OF JACUZZI AND GREAT BREAKFAST BUFFET WHICH INCREASES IN SIZE ON WEEKENDS!
Cons: BADLY STAINED CARPETS IN ROOM, AND CHIPPING PAINT AROUND DOORWAYS AND HALL.
Location: IT IS ONLY 10 MIN FROM DOWNTOWN BOISE. THE RIVERWALK IS RELAXING AND JOE'S CRAB SHACK NEXT DOOR IS AMAZING IF YOU LIKE SEAFOOD! THERE ARE BIKE RENTALS
THIS WAS OUR 2ND STAY AT THIS HOTEL BECAUSE OF THE BEAUTIFUL COURTYARD WITH A HUGE B SHAPED POOL, LARGE JACUZZI, FIRE PIT AREA WITH OUTDOOR HEATERS AS WELL. HORSESHOE PIT, LARGE 3 FT CHESS SET ON LAWN. THERE'S A GAZEBO AND A POOL BAR CURRENTLY BEING RENOVATED. IT'S LOCATION IS GOOD, RIGHT ON THE RIVER WITH A WALKWAY. THE HOTEL BREAKFAST INCLUDED IN ROOMS IS VERY GOOD AND MANY CHOICES IN A NICE RESTAURANT..(NOT A SMALL PARTY ROOM). THIS HOTEL NEEDS UPDATING WITHIN. OUR ROOM DECOR WAS DRAB AND OUTDATED..THE CARPET WAS STAINED HORRIBLY AND THE SLIDING DOORS NEED WERE DIFFICULT TO OPEN AND CLOSE. THE HOTEL NEEDS NEW PAINT TOO. BE SURE AND ASK ABOUT THE USE OF POOL; IT CLOSES IN MID-OCT. FOR WINTER. IF THE RIVERSIDE FIXES UP THE INTERIOR THEN WE WOULD STAY AGAIN.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this review! It sounds like you were able to enjoy a lot of amenities the hotel has to offer, especially being located along the Boise River. We agree with you that a lot of the rooms need to be updated and we have actually begun doing just that! We hope to see you again when we are finished!

great location

We enjoyed the location, close to downtown; the room was clean and comfortable; the complimentary breakfast was really good and the service very friendly. We rented bikes and rode the greenbelt by the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice room, pleasant staff, mediocre food

Posted Oct 24, 2016
Location: The Boise River is right there, it's a nice place to walk or bike ride. Close to downtown.
Nice, clean room. Exterior needs to be painted. Staff was very friendly. Food was not very good. The eggs for the free breakfast were tasteless. We got around that by requesting eggs at the omelet station. The other food that we are there was not very good. Drinks were good.

Pros: Pet room with patio for access to grass was very good. Great music in the bar area. Food quality in the buffet and restaurant was very good.
Cons: My screen door didn't slide so I left it open. I was given the last room as far from the lobby as you could get.
Location: It was a good location for the Exposition center with several fast food restaurants close by. It rained so I didn't use the riverwalk.
