A beautiful hotel, kept clean, with a comfortable bed. Maintenence is an issue; the heat wouldn't turn down so I heard road noise as i had to open window; the toilet didnt function properly and i had to keep playing with the shower facet to stop the dripping

Nice hotel, great location, lovely staff. Only negative is that there was no AC at the time of our visit (staff said due to the law). You are on a main road so there is loud road noise and when you the window open to cool down the room, was showing 30 degrees when windows was closed! (very uncomfortable) Asked about moving rooms to the back of the hotel away from the road, but was told we would have to upgrade our room as all standard rooms are road facing, upgrade was an extra €20 a night! Overall, a pleasant stay, close enough to walk into the city centre but far enough away to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Bologna.

Great location, maybe not the best staff
The hotel is nice and in a great location if you don't have long in Bologna and want to be close to the train station. It is an easy 15 mins walk to the center and the room was extremely comfortable. However, I had found the price cheaper online and on arrival asked if they would respect the price. They said that was an error and the price was fixed, but if you look on their website it's 40 Euros cheaper. I have had this happen before and the hotel usually offers breakfast or matches the price but here they didn't want to hear anything and were quite rude at check-in.

Modern hotel very close to the central train station with level paving throughout the route... good for wheeled luggage! Reception staff were very friendly and check in and out was quick and efficient. The hotel has a clean, modern feel throughout. My room was spacious and, despite using 'do not disturb' so that I could get up late one morning, the room was still serviced after I had left as late as just before midday that day! The location is safe and, aside from other guests having conversations right outside my door and slamming their doors (not the hotel's fault; people are generally very selfish these days and lack etiquette), it was very quiet. The shower was particularly spacious although the shower door functioning did make it hard not to flood the bathroom floor! This is a good hotel and I highly recommend it.

We stayed there for the 1st time. Staff are helpful, we had a lovely dinner and surprisingly they cater for coeliac guests which is a bonus. However the room we stayed isn’t well maintained, couldn’t use a key card for some reason. The TV is rather small & not user friendly.

It was not as expected. Rooms very dated and run down. AC did not work. It was 87F/30C inside the room. It was really hard to sleep. The reason we booked this hotel was that it was advertised to have AC. It did. But did not work.

Ok hotel, only had to stay for one night. Booked a double but had a room with two twins pushed together (one of which was softer than the other). On a very busy road. Cafe staff pretty rude. Receptionists good. No extras, very basic but cheap so we can’t complain too much.

Very good no frills hotel
This hotel was exactly what it said on the tin. No fuss, no frills, easy walking distance from the station. Breakfast was help yourself continental, lots of choice including fresh bread, cereals, croissants, scrambled eggs (?!) and cakes. Tip: ask for your coffee from the bar for freshly made expresso etc. Staff were very helpful. The room was basic but clean, we slept well, and we will definitely return if we revisit Bologna.

The room appears very cozy. There are many lights in the room and there is one automatic light just behind the door so that it turns on automatically when the guest comes in and out. Front desk staffs are nice and speak fair English. There are breakfast included and it is a buffet like breakfast. However the quality is just so so.

Fantastic assistance by Illarya at front desk made a short stay very easy and worthwhile including tourist advice and information not normally received including bus fares plus the need for correct change, organising management to change large notes instead of having to travel long distances to find a Banco dItalia the only bank that will change for non account holders, barbers, restaurants, bars, parties even computer problems. Stylish room, spotlessly clean, well positioned near the train station and the city gardens.

My room was simply exquisite. Room was very clean and tidy, bed was big and comfy and the bathroom was rather lavish. Hotel is conveniently placed right next to the train and bus station.

Good hotel, clean and tidy. 15 minute walk from the Piaggio Maggieore. Staff very friendly and happy to help out.The free mini-bar consisted of water and 2 x cans of soda. Free wi-fi skipped in and out all the time. Even taking this into account, this is a good place to stay, and i would be happy to stay here again.

hotel is about 500m from the train station. Come out of the train station and go left. cross an intersection, keep going on the left side . its hard to see as it's under a modern portico. First room we had was dreadful, you had to fold the shower doors to sit on the toilet. 2nd was much better. Staff hepful.

It's a regular hotel near a train station and a few blocks from the historic center. The cleaning was ok and the breakfast is good. We had to guess that the air conditioner was set at the front desk; the neighborhood could scare a little because of the homeless; but you get used and realize it's not dangerous to walk around.

There were 3 people checking when I arrived (around 11pm). I was annoyed at the thought I might have to wait 5 or 10 minutes before I could get my key. 45 minutes later, I was still waiting. When I did get a key, it did not work. I came down to be told I needed to wait for the next guest to check in - another 20 minutes! Eventually I was upgraded to a suite (which was decent) but all I needed was a clean bed as I was off at 6am the next morning. : (

Very convenient location for bus and train station. Staff friendly and room was comfortable and clean. However, dinner and lunch menu was confusing, nothing written down when we asked to see a menu. Apparently there is a set lunch and dinner but the waiter did not speak good English so we had difficuty communicating. We did had dinner which consisted of an appetizer, main dish and assorted deserts available. Breakfast was included with price of hotel, we arrived around 9 a.m. and found a buffet, eggs and sausage were cold, no one replenishing the table, breads and fruit looked as though they had put out from the previous evening. Coffee was available out of a machine. I would give low marks for the breakfast.

Rock hard beds - woke up sore.
Not that great of a stay. Bed was rock hard and the hotel needs to be kept up better. Walls were dirty, mirror was cracked, carpets stained. Every time I wanted the a/c adjusted I had to call or go downstairs to ask them to turn it on or off or adjust.

I had stayed here in the past a few years ago when it was called something different so thought I would stay here again. Unfortunately the experience was not as good. We had booked 4 rooms with twin beds and unfortunately it took us 2 hours to get through the check in process as they did not have enough staff on. They had not given us twin beds like we had booked and the rooms were extremely hot as they had not turned on the aircon for the building as they deemed it not Summer yet so sleeping at night meant you were either in a furnace as it was so hot or you had to open the windows and as most of the rooms face onto a very busy road you felt like you were sleeping on the road it was so noisy. They could easily fix some of these things and the hotel would have then got a higher rating but I won't be staying here again.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in!
Awful experience in this hotel. Initial room was at front of hotel which was on main road and extremely noisy. I complained to reception staff who agreed to 'upgrade me' to a quieter room. Many issues with room including internet not being available in room (I had to work whilst staying at the hotel so only option was to work from hotel lobby), temperature not being able to be controlled from room resulting in room being way too warm, kettle provided with no milk or coffee (staff told me it was their policy to provide teabags only!) and tv not working. Walls extremely thin and due to the floorboards in rooms, evry step made bin other rooms nearby can be heard. I had two terrible nights sleep in this hotel. Breakfast also awful - cold coffee, cold eggs and bacon. Cereal and yoghurt only decent option. Nowhere near a 4 star hotel!

Good location and comfy bed but a bit noisy
Hotel is in a good location but if you get a room facing the road is a bit noisy. Interestingly, the council does not allow AC before 15th of April so when we got there the room was quite hot. If you get a room facing the internal courtyard (lovely and quiet although 20 euros more expensive) then you can open the windows and cool off without suffering too much form the street noise.

The hotel is modern and the rooms, although not very big, are more than sufficient for a shot stay. Clean and modern bathroom, comfortable bed and pleasant ambiance. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast bar also ok. The location is a bonus - 5 minute walk to the main train station and 10 -15 min walk to the main square (Piazza Maggiore). I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bologna.
