First of all, our biggest complaint was the room temperature. It was 77 degrees the entire time, and we complained several times. When I spoke to someone downstairs, they told me the AC gets shut off when the summer is over but it made our sleeping experience a nightmare. The staff was excellent, very polite and friendly. To be clear, this is NOT a hotel, it’s university housing and completely rundown. The condition of the housing is terrible, however, the room had a very clean bathroom, towels and bedding. The floors in the room were pretty gross but it was a big room. I wouldn’t stay here again. The pictures look extremely different than the rooms do in person. I will say that the included breakfast was outstanding. It was delicious! The location was also not convenient, we don’t mind taking public transportation but even that was a pain in the butt as the walk was long and inconvenient. We took Ubers each night back home. It’s a very cheap, no extras accommodation. This was not the place for my partner and I.

Couldn't cool room
The place is comfortable and convenient to local bus and train routes. We were disappointed that we could not sleep well. Our room was over 26 C (79 F), and we were told that we could not turn on the air conditioning yet. We tried opening the windows, but there was too much street noise. The hotel did not seem crowded. I don't understand why, if they know we required opened windows to cool the room, they would put us on the street side on the top (and warmest) floor.

This place is amazing! Very new and clean. The staff were always kind and helpful. Lovely breakfast each morning. About 25 min walk to the main part of the city. I would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Camplus site in Bologna. I must say, we were a little confused when we arrived, because I didn’t realize it was an actual dormitory when I booked it. However, it was the most comfortable dorm I ever stayed in. The sleeping room did not feel like a dormitory. The cafeteria food was great. I would recommend Camplus to other travelers.

An enjoyable experience
Although room was on the small side for a double bed it was clean, fresh and modern. Included a good breakfast which catered for diverse nationalities. Easy walking distance to city centre. Staff friendly and fluent in English. Overall a pleasant stay.

A good location not far from the center, the train station, or the "Fiera" district, with bus service nearby. Staff were outstanding - very helpful and friendly. On site "self service" cafeteria was really convenient and the food was quite good. Room was sparse but had the essentials. The only real negative was that the acoustics (no carpets or rugs anyway, heavy metallic doors) meant a lot of noise from the halls echoed loudly into the rooms.

Okay for just one short night
Front desk staff very helpful. This was basically a dorm room. I guess I did not read the desription of the property as closely as I should have. Twin bed. Mold in the shower. No safe in the room. A bit noisy in the hallway late at night with the local college kids. Okay for just one short night. I would not recommend for more than 1 night.

As expected this place takes you back to being a student which isn't a bad thing when it is good accommodation. It's a little far to walk from the centre but if you figure out the transport routes it's OK. Single room was great, breakfast was plentiful but a little bit mass produced.

It was close to the local train station, but couldnt figure out how to get a ticket at that train station since there were no self service machines. It is about a 30-45 minute walk into the city. Surronding areas were clean and nice. The room itself was nice, the shower is tiny and our double bed was just two twins beds put together which ended up splitting over night.

A fabulous modern hotel
This is a lovely hotel. It has all the requirements for modern travel. I think it houses students during term, but doubles up nicely as a conference centre and is perfect for a city break if you are not involved in academia. It is bright modern and feels spacious even if the rooms are small enough. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with daily housekeeping. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and the food very nice. The staff were courteous and helpful and were happy to give advice to tourist new to Bolonga and the region. There was only one small thing it was about 2kms from the city centre, about half an hour if you intend walking. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel! 35-40 wall form central station! Excellent internet! The room serviced it purpose! Excellent for 1-2 nights at most! College dorm. Great breakfast for the price, don’t expect to pay $50 per night and to get 5 star breakfast. Great hotel who is traveling smart and hate to pay rediculas hotels fee!

A destination for travelers
A nice place to stay, for it secures tranquility. If you like walking, it is your hotel to reach the city center in 30 minutes. Besides, there bus stops and a train station nearby.

Very comfortable and well managed accommodation
Welcoming, recently built and in excellent condition. A bit further from city centre than we had thought. But v comfortable, excellent breakfast, helpful staff who coped with our Italian and spoke perfect English. It was expensive for a university hall, however posh, but I think that was because we booked so late and through an agency. Bologna is a wonderful city (and a great university) and I would recommend this to anyone - so long as you book in good time.

Conference at University of Bologna
I chose the hotel because it was in walking distance to some of the conference venues which happened at the University of Bologna and offered seemingly nice single rooms. I chose Expedia because this time the same rooms were cheaper than Booking.com. On arrival, the whole complex with sports terrains seemed nice, the building is a modern one with a special feel to it, especially when lit-up at night, the reception staff were very welcoming and polite, the room was better than expected, suitable for a single person for longer study periods (many shelves, wardrobe). I got a room with included free breakfast, but I never got to try it due to lack of time. Even though a smaller single room it was comfortable enough. Due to the location it was very quiet at night (except for one evening where there was an open-air party in the complex), but the window had good insulation. The bad staff is that during summer the whole area seemed deserted, crickets being louder than the traffic, as if all have left to vacation, no stores/shops were working, no bars, nothing. Luckily one of the main streets south of the complex has direct buses to the city center, some of them (no.14) had a vending machine at the back so that you can buy a ticket on board, and you would get to the city center in just a few minutes. So this made up for the location.

Great place in a residential / student area - super accommodation, good spread for breakfast, and a quiet location away from the centre - we walked to the town centre most days (20/25 mins), apart from when it rained or was too cold :-(. The staff were super and went out of their way to ensure that we had a good stay - down to changing money so we had the right change for the bus fare, should we have required it!

Expensive but nice stay
Stayed at this hotel for one night and enjoyed the stay here. The hotel is in the middle between the airport and also the Central railway station and city centre. It took 30 minutes to walk into town but there are also regular buses from a nearby bus stop if you don't want to walk. We received a friendly welcome and the staff were expecting us despite arriving just after midnight. The hotel does seem to be mainly occupied by students however I could not hear a thing outside my hotel room and it was lovely and quiet. I particularly liked the balcony window, the bed was comfortable, wifi fine and a good shower / bathroom. It was just a shame that the air conditioning was not working in the room as it was very hot. The continental breakfast was tasty and plenty full and kept well stock despite it being busy. We booked about three weeks before we arrived and the price was very expensive for what I would normally pay for this type of hotel. Well above the £50 currently being asked. If you can get a good price I would certainly recommend staying here.

A dorm
This is a university dorm facility. I stayed there two years ago for a trade fair and again last week. It is a dorm, so do not expect a bar or anything involving entertainment. Yet the rooms are absolutely soundproof and extremely clean. The bed is a twin sized bed so if you are hefty, forget it. The breakfast, lunch and dinner is included in the rate and is buffet style. If you are looking for a place to crash at night, this is it. If you are looking for hotel entertainment, go somewhere else. The place is perfect for resting after working all day.
