El hotel esta recien remodelado. Las habitaciones estan excelentes y el desayuno muy bueno y variado. Queda a 10 minutos caminando de la estacion del tren.

A convenient, well located accommodation
The Hotel Astoria as well, located near the bus and train stations and not that far of a walk from the center. The museum of modern art is only about two blocks away. The included breakfast was quite good. The staff were very helpful.

Well located old town hotel.
I was a bit worried about staying here after reading some recent reviews but thankfully we had a lovely stay. We were allocated a room within the main hotel as the room they first room allocated to us had not be cleaned. There was a mix up in the information reception received. Our room was clean with a very comfortable kingsize bed. The rest of the room had minimum furniture. As our stay was only for 2 nights it was not a problem. Only gripe was the noise of the extractor fan in the toilet, which automatically came on once the light was switched on, which was like a plane taking off.

Just a few minutes from a train station, lots of dining options nearby. Too far from center of Bologna to walk there. They have bikes for rent (no charge) but it was hard to find two decent bicycles. I really hope they will fix them a little bit. By bicycle, center of Bologna was about 10 minutes of easy riding. The AC worked but could not cool the room at all. Thankfully, it was not that hot outside. Property felt very old.

Be careful, bed bugs!
Hotel was located in the city center, and close to the train station which is convenient. However we barely slept as we got "attacked" by bed bugs, and quite huge ones...I would recommend avoiding room 18 because of this, and checking carefully your room before unpacking bags or going to sleep

The city of Bologna would not be Our Choice ever again......The Hotel was very old and needed a MAJOR Overhall.........No Cafes or Restaurants around.........and the city and your hotel BAD......Graffiti everywhere....bad neighborhood....nothing around the Hotel.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was terrific. The room was adequate for us and very clean. The bikes should you choose to take them out need a bit of work (like brakes). I would stay there again.

Centrally located and near the train station (about a 10 minute walk). Room was basic, but clean. Some refreshments in the fridge, but I would have liked a coffee machine or tea kettle. Rooms were pretty quiet except when people were in the hallway. Some of the fixtures like toilet paper holder and outer doorknob need to be fixed. Breakfast has a variety of things to choose from (savory or sweet). Coffee machine needs to be replaced however. There is also space outside to sit. Hotel staff were friendly enough, and I didn’t feel unsafe as a solo female traveler. There is also a self-service washing facility nearby that was handy to use. Walking to the center was about 15-20 minutes walk. Supermarket also about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. All in all not a bad place.

I booked 2 rooms for 5 persons but still ended up with rooms just for 4 persons. Didn't know about it until i called the hotel to inquire about other things. Upon talking with the receptionist at that time, 5hours before our check in, he didn't even bothered to do something about it. 3 persons slept in a twin room. We were so tired from the trip and didn't got to rest well. However the persons at the reception in the morning were really polite, fun and accomodating.

good hotel for short stay.
the hotel has a good location, fairly close to the centre. It is a bit old, but I think that is all hotels in modena. The staff was not very friendly; not rude but just not friendly or caring really. I guess it works for a short stay and if you are using the hotel for sleeping only.

Hotel was okey for a short stay. Not particularly friendly or helpful staff - only the guy working at breakfast seemed to be professional and helpful. No towels in my room day one and the wifi did not work at all. Hotel room was clean and I feel recently renovated which was nice. About 20 mins walk into centre and close to the station so that was great.

Amazing value!
For the price, this hotel is absolutely fantastic! It took us a long time to find a well-priced hotel in Bologna, and were worried that the lower price would mean a worse experience - this was not the case. The air con worked wonderfully, the shower was nice and the breakfast was utterly deliscious. The staff were also very helpful.

Great hotel!
This was our 3rd time staying at Astoria and we would stay again. For us it was close to the train station which was the way we were travelling. The hotel check-in and check-out was very quick and all staff were very polite. Room was also very clean. Having breakfast included during our stay was wonderful. A very wide variety of food available and we enjoyed it very much. Having free wifi was also a plus for keeping in touch with family at home and in Bologna.

Very good distance from the station if you are walking. The hotel was clean but basic. It was a half hour walk to the centre of Bologna. The security was poor as it was possible to climb across to our balcony and the only thing holding it closed was a hook and loop.

Great hotel near the train station.
I tend to say in Bologna when I need to be near the airport. This hotel is very near the train station (a must for getting around) as well as not far from the main attractions in the city center. The rooms are small but sufficient and comfortable. The staff is very nice and very helpful. This has become my go-to hotel in Bologna.

Nice place, handy for the station and only mimutes walk in to the central area. Plenty of local places to eat and quiet residential location. Older in style, but room was fresh and bathroom nice and modern. Hreat little place, will use again.

Good overnight stop
Central location with private parking attracted us to stay at the Astoria. Rooms need TLC as decor requires attention. But overall a convenient and comfortable overnight stay. Air conditioning like so many hotels in Italy doesn't seem to work.
