The site itself is beautiful however we left a day early due to loud noise. The upstairs neighbours banged dragged and stomped about till around 3 in the morning . Outside door banging till early hours every night, someone going in and out. . Then workmen banging doors all afternoon one day, we couldn't keep the dog calm . To top it all off we were knocked up by the police in the early hours on Thursday and that's when we called it a day 😪 we just needed a few quiet days away and it just didn't work out. The pool is like a building site as they are working on it. I guess we were unlucky.

Spotless room, all necessary amenities, a very comfortable bed and a great shower. Easy check-in and convenient parking. Weather bad during stay, but very warm and cosy, and a very pleasant stay. Many thanks, xx

Although the room was dated it was clean amd tidy. The reception had no staff on after 9pm this wasnt a problem for us. Card entry into rooms. Well worth the price paid for out overnight stay to attend a wedding

Always come back to Jorvik if possible - staff are friendly. Rooms cozy and comfortable. We were in a junior suite this time and apart from the long climb to the top of the property was just what we needed.

The hotel is well situated, it took about 15 to 20 minutes to walk to town, on a nice day it's a pleasant stroll. The room was very clean and spacious, the bed and pillows were comfortable.Tea and coffee facilities were also provided. The staff in the pub were very welcoming and friendly. We had an evening meal which was tasty and reasonably priced. The only thing to take note of is that the rooms are above a pub and music is played so an early night isn't really possible, although there were ear plugs provided. Access to the rooms is via an outside steel staircase. Overall I would recommend and would stay again.
