Best hotel off the stripPosted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: Lots of smiling faces made it feel like staying with family. Special thanks to Eveline for dining tips and a heavy hand when pouring rum punch!
Cons: A few bugs in the kitchen. A few too many. Comforters for the beds would be nice. And some of the cushions are worn.
Location: This is the last hotel north of the strip. There's great diving just steps from the front door, with multiple dive sites a few minutes away.
Checkin was easy, the rooms are spacious, and the staff cannot have enough superlative said about them. The rooms all had kitchens (useful for a quick snack, lunch or dinner), patios, comfortable beds and good air conditioning. Housekeeping came through three times which is more than enough, there were always towels available if necessary for the pool or for diving, and we liked the convenience of having breakfast every morning. The bar area and restaurant was small but very accommodating, we had all-you-can-eat barbecue one night which was a good deal...and they have happy hour :-). The grounds were beautifully maintained with all kinds of flowering plants, and lots of indigenous wildlife (including hummingbirds and parrots). There is a separate scuba/dive closet for each hotel room. There is a dive shop on the premises. TV had at least 40 channels btw

Great place to stay!!!!Posted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: Clean,Friendly,Safe. They have beach towels, place to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Parking by your room.Out side patio and AC.
Cons: Have a broom for the sand in the room. Air freshener for the bathroom and matches for the stove.
Location: Park to snorkel, short drive to water taxi to no name beach. Excellent snorkeling. Kit surf, Windsurf watch for birds. Go on the sea cow!
This was are first time to Bonaire and did not know what to expect. Out of the business area so it is very peaceful. Check in is very tricky because you have to see the dive shop but once inside you are treated like gold. Very friendly people. Room was nice and more then what we needed. Fridge had a small freezer just enough space for ice tray and two bottles of water. Fridge was cold. Cook area but no matches. The outside patio was great. LOT OF SPACE. You can hang out your wet items and there was security on the resort so you felt safe. Loved that breakfast was included. Great place to eat. Once again staff was wonderful and asked if there was anything they could make for you fresh like pancakes. There is an in room safe that is very easy to use and loved the floors being tile. The dive shop has everything you need like bug spray and sun lotion. No need to bring swim towels because they have them here and will give you what you need for the day. You just need to bring in the used ones for fresh. No wash clothes, and bar soap in the rest rooms. Make sure if you drive to learn the street signs before you go. In order to see all of the island you will need to rent a truck. Yes a truck. Cars are only good on the main roads. If going to the park they will tell you your little car will break and they are right. House keeping will come in every other day but limited but enough. Wifi was great. We already have plans to return and we are very excited.

Pros: Restaurant food and environment. Pool overlooking the ocean, Privacy.
Cons: Though clean the rooms could be a less sparse.
Location: This hotel is near a number of great dive sites yet it is in the quieter part of the island.
Chef Frank is wonderful - his dishes are as good if not better than those at any of the trendy spots in town and the open air restaurant is private, relaxing with a fantastic breeze.

Perfect placePosted Feb 23, 2015
The rooms are huge with kitchens, living areas and a very nice bathroom. The pool area is very comfortable and the restaurant is relaxing. The staff were always very friendly and knowledgable. The coast is a walk down the road. Great place to stay. I would stay again in a heart beat.

Just what we needed!Posted Jan 30, 2015 on Hotels
Wonderful and quiet. I would stay here again. Very personable and accommodating staff. If you can afford it go for the villas which overlook the ocean and pool.

Great Place!Posted Dec 28, 2014 on Hotels
The staff are friendly and accommodating. I love the location. I am used to more pillows and a comforter, but I guess because I am on a Caribbean Island I should not have expected it. I would stay here again and again!!! The rooms are clean and you can cook. The patios are spacious.

relaxing hotel with some reservationsPosted Nov 28, 2014 on Hotels
Dive vacation. Nice grounds. Quiet, relaxing. 15 min drive north of main square in Kralendijk. Get a room that has a.c. in the kitchen area as well as bedroom! Chocolate melted in kitchen-no AC, no screens on windows during rainy/mosquito weather in Nov 2014. Dive shop very helpful esp Bart and Theresa. When we stayed breakfast staff service was helpful but evening service lacking--possibly because we only ordered soft drinks and fries? Some guests were more tended to, maybe because they ordered more? Our itinerary specifically stated free airport shuttle transfers (plural). On our departure, the taxi driver said we owed him $30. We paid him. Not sure if he ripped us off or we misunderstood. It was 6:00 am so hotel office was closed. Fair warning: settle this in advance! It was a decent place but next time I think I'll try staying South of Kralendijk.

Don't rent the penthouse or units in blue buildingPosted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: Tropical setting, AC in both bdrm and lvrm in Penthouse. The morning breakfast gal, my favorite. Meeting people Quite
Cons: Our whole unit needs an upgrade from curtains, flooring, furniture, kitchen utensils.
Location: Great north shore diving around the corner, downtown about a 10 minute drive. Away from it all nice and quite.
Our unit could use an update... we rented a penthouse with a beautiful view. I was shown others 1 bdrms for less money and they were beautiful and better kitchens. The dishes and floor were dirty feeling and I bought a pan cause other one provided I would'nt dare cook in....I'm picky! Breakfast provided was good as I love fruit and hard boiled eggs, staff was great and diving awesome on the north side which u are very close. Met some great folks. That's the point of these places, instead of a house, but truly I think we could of done better for the price paid. Property loaded with flowers, parrots, goats, birds...ect TROPICAL!
