I appreciate the rooms were clean. But the walls are very thin and we were on the bottom floor and the people above us were loud all night long. There was no spa and the pool was broken.

Property was beautiful and loved the overall warmth of the Inn. The staff was also very friendly. Our negative comment and the only reason it wasn’t a overall 5 star stay for us is due to us being able to hear much of what was going on outside our room. Noise traveled from the hallway/dining area on the second floor even with us having a fan on, and unfortunately into the early hours of the morning we could hear much of what was happening in the room adjacent to us… We thank the staff though for their professionalism and kindness, regardless of our stay not being as restful as we would have expected and wanted.

We booked for the sauna and pool. Both have been broke for 2 months or so. Nothing said about it at booking. So paid resort fee for not so great faciity.

It was like we were staying in an old mansion on beautiful grounds in the grandfather suite which was very large with a nice family room with fireplace. They should add a loveseat to that room so everybody can watch a movie. We managed by using chairs from the dining table. Love the antiques and the feel of the place. Each bedroom had giant walk in closets and there was 3 full bathrooms which was very convenient for the six of us.

Charming inn. Rooms are not special but are certainly clean and comfortable. Restaurant is lovely and very convenient. Food was good except the “child’s option” of chicken and Mac and cheese was really pathetic! But adult menu looked lovely. I’d recommend this place to a friend

The staff were excellent!! They were willing to open the pool house for my daughter to try to swim even though it was freezing. She couldn’t quite do it so we enjoyed the steam room instead. It’s in a perfect area for skiing and shopping. While Crestwood feels like you’re getting the true mountain get away experiance, it’s only a 15min drive to Blowing Rock or Boone. Both of which are cute little towns for shopping and dining. It’s also only 15mins from Appalachia Ski mountain. We had a fabulous weekend!

Staff was very welcoming & helpful! Spacious room w/ gas log fireplace and nice sitting porch. Excellent layout for family wedding we were attending. Limited daily dining, including only continental breakfast and dinner (Thur-Sat).

Amazing Customer Service
This is my fourth bisit yo the Inn. This place is absolutely charming and the staff is amazing. The only reason i didnt hive them 5 stars is because the amenities were not operational and restaurant was closed; however, they are so awesome.i will still continue to visit. I believe this is a family owned business and i will support this place as long as they continue with the great service and have those fireplaces going. I think as himan beings we are quick to judge but im sure it is costly to run such a place so i will always keep that into consideration. During our stay, they closed the restaurant early due to cancelled reservations and no shows. We were expecting to have dinner there (me and my 11 yr old daughter) When we were ready for dinner they informed us that the restaurant had closed. The young lady at the front desk went out of her way to find us bagels and whatever breakfast items they had because i did not want to drive. I wanted to have a drink and she brought out every possible beer they had to the lobby. I am so grateful for their service. Thank you Inn at Ctestwood!!

The beds are hard, just a little bit better than the floor. I contemplated sleeping in my truck. The Keurig was dirty inside the water reservoir, I didn't use it. The walls were bare except for blueprints of the building over the beds. The room and building smelled musty. The family I was visiting remarked I smelled the same after checking in and dropping off my luggage in the room.

Mountain Get-away
Wonderful romantic place to stay, enjoyed the dinner there and the view was wonderful from the dinning room. Staff were very helpful and we will book again. Issue was the three large dogs above our heads in the room above us. Running around and barking. Please have people with dogs that large be on a level that will not affect others or don't allow anyone below them. Love the fact it is tuck deep into the mountains. We will book again for this is our get away place.

It wasn’t what I expected for the price. The people next door woke me up several times my last night there and all I was told when I complained the next morning at check out was I should get a room on an upper floor next time. The people above me were “tramping like elephants” and the people next door were “f———— like rabbits”. So, I felt like I was staying in a veritable zoo.😂. The only way that I would go back is if and when they finish constructing the family chalets I rent an entire chalet for me and my kids-That way, you don’t have to put up with all the noise due to the thin walls.

The N could use some updates like mini fridges and microwaves in the rooms. And thicker bat towels. The hot water for tea and hot chocolate was always cold, and the continental breakfast had very few yogurts and oatmeal. No bagels as told at front desk the night before.

Good location
Location is perfect. Close to several charming towns such as downtown Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk. Also near the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway and Grandfather Mountain. Our room was comfortable with a cozy fireplace and looked like it had been recently remodeled. The downsides was that outside the hotel needed some sprucing up. Another downside was that they never cleaned our room one time during the 4 nights we were there. After a couple of days towels, trash, and dishes (from the grab and go breakfast) were starting to pile up. It would have been nice if they would have came and gathered these things once a day and refreshed the towels. We were able to ask for fresh towels and trash bags. Finally, the walls and ceilings are very thin, from someone walking back and forth upstairs at 5 am, and a baby screaming at 2 am.

Beautiful place with clean rooms. My room had a very nice balcony with a chair and a chaise. They have free breakfast with yogurt, bagels, OJ and a few other things. The parking was very easy and free, it's a very short walk from the parking lot to the building. All of the staff I interacted with where very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

A comfortable and unique property atop a winding mountain road. Easy access to both Blowing Rock & Boone. Very comfortable and modern room - really enjoyed the gas fireplace on chilly evenings. Dining was great with attentive staff, quality cocktails and a creative menu - again, 2 fireplaces active within the cozy room. And the indoor heated pool was an unknown bonus!

Great laid back retreat
Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the mountain scenery. Hotel is out in secluded area and has great views of the mountains. Location is along Blue Ridge Parkway which was really nice.

This is a BEAUTIFUL property and at one time it may have even been better. It's a tad bit shabby because they are short handed. I cannot fault them for that. Needs a bit of updating. My room was very clean and they were VERY KIND. The spa does not exist any longer. It appears to have been closed during Covid. WISH it was still there. The food at the restaurant was delicious and a very nice display. I had a GREAT time. When I made the reservation I clicked on "Allows for pets" and it did not charge me extra... but when I arrived they asked for me to pay $50 per night for the dog. I think that may need to be fixed. Paid it and didn't say anything. I just think an advance awareness on the website should be stated.

Nice Staff/Room WORST BEDS EVER!
Check in was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and very clean, however, the room and poolroom smelled very musty. Sidewalk on walkway to pool was crumbled and dark. Beds were absolutely horrible. We were unable to sleep throughout the night due to the smell from A/C and the condition of the beds. They are lumpy and hard and absolutely awful to lie on, which was very disappointing after a long day hiking. These must be very old mattresses. We couldn't wait for morning so we could check out and head home to get some rest.

First time staying at an Inn. I’ve worked in a Hotel before so I know what to expect in general. Checked in, the receptionist was nice but the floor of the room had a layer of dust on it and pet hair so it had not been vacuumed. The power also went out randomly for about a hour or so and some guests came in making lots of noise around 1am. The building is old so you hear everything going on. Next morning, I asked for new towels and that housekeeping come vacuum the room. Left for about 8hrs, came back and new towels were delivered but the room was not vacuumed. I left it alone as we were staying in the rest of the evening. Was halfway asleep around 9pm when fireworks started going off about a hundred yards away or less (This is July 2nd so didn’t expect it so soon) but it was loud enough that it jolted me awake in bed and woke my pregnant wife as well. After 30min that’s over, but then around 10pm that same loud couple from earlier starts talking very loudly and it gets to the point to where I have to knock on their door around 11pm to ask them to be quiet so that we can sleep. I know that isn’t the inn’s fault but just listing here for reference. Finally get a few hours of sleep. Next morning the receptionist isn’t even working (Sunday) and there’s a sign saying they won’t be back until the next morning. Why am I not surprised? Great area, poor accommodations. Save your money and stay at an actual decent Hotel. They have standards to follow for a reason.

Thank you for your review Jared. I am so sorry our property and your stay were not up to your standards. Unfortunately since the building is quite old, sounds travel quite well, but we are working on getting our property updated in the future. I also do apologize for the firework disturbance, but July 2nd was the only day we could do our independence day celebration, and 9pm was the most reasonable time we could choose to do fireworks. As for Sunday morning, we had a random staffing issue which was resolved later that morning. We always have employees on property starting at 7:30am 7 days a week, we put out a closing sign just for the overnight hours when our front desk employees are not on property. There was also an emergency phone number on that sign you were welcome to have called if you had any issues. We are always very happy to accommodate any issues you may have, but we can only do so if said issues are communicated with us. As a family owned business, our Inn does operate differently than a chain hotel, and I'm very sorry our standards were not what you expected. Again I do apologize that your stay was not what you expected, but we hope you would still be willing to stay with us in the future!
