Amazing villa over-the-water!

Posted Jan 7, 2017
Pros: Affordable for Bora Bora standard and quality is comparable - I think - to other 5-star resort.
Cons: More restaurants and activities at night.
No words can describe Bora Bora and this resort. Simply breathe-taking! Would go back again if I have a chance in the future.

What can you say, and amazing location

Posted Nov 22, 2016
Pros: Overwater Bungalows over light teal waters, what is not to like.
Cons: More food options, some more reasonable
Location: Plenty to do with activities. The activities through the activities desk seems as reasonable as direct.
Exactly what I had hoped for. It may be a little dated here and there, but overall was an amazing place in probably the most beautiful place we have ever been. From Sting Rays swimming outside the Overwater Bungalows, to the view of Bora Bora. There were less food options at the resort than expected as there was only one place for breakfast, and one place for dinner. Take a trip to Vaitape and stock up on some snacks, fresh water bottles, and other things for your room. The bungalows are open but are faced appropriately so that one cannot see into the other, so my wife loved standing naked in front of the window to feel the warm island breeze.

Beautiful!!

Posted Nov 19, 2016
We stayed four nights at this resort in Bora Bora. It was wonderful and so beautiful! We stayed in an overwater bungalow and it was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed our view of the mountain from our balcony. The staff was excellent and very friendly. The menu for lunch had more selections than the menu for dinner. There is a ferry rate once you arrive at the airport if you want to take it straight to the hotel that's about $75 per person roundtrip. We saw fishes under our bungalow and the coral Garden was very nice to look at and snorkel in. The weather was not as great as we had hoped. It was very windy and rained for the last two days that we stayed and the waters were very choppy. Otherwise it was perfect!!

A must visit! Be prepared to spend money on food at the resort if you don't want to go to town often. It can get a bit boring eating at the same place everyday but that didn't make our trip shy of amazing!

Marcelena Stanley Birthday Gift nothing short of A

Where do I began, there so many wonderful things to say about out stay at the Pearl Beach Resort and Spa. We were welcomed with open arms and warm voices, they have the best view of the mountain on the entire island. They assisted us with activities, explained all events and restaurants on the island, held our luggage and sent it to our rooms when it was ready, flowers surrounding the room and the toiletries and amenities were wonderful. The water was so beautiful it made me want to shed tears, I was in amazement the entire time. Sometimes there are small lizard that may enter your room in which I was scared of because it made a noise that kept me up one night. I asked the Resort if I could switch my room and they switched it with no hesitation and moved our luggage for us also and I slept like a baby for the remainder of our trip. The food was delicious, but I learned that well done to the French is not American well done nevertheless my steak had great flavors. The grounds were kept very clean, the cleaned up the beach each morning for any residue that washed ashore. Very organized and peaceful Resort.Resort had a boat that ran just about every hour to get to Mainland free. I love the Polynesian people I just wanted to hug and kiss them all, we were treated like family at the Resort and on the Main Island. My husband and I got Tattoos by Tuhei Lissant at the Resort and he's the best Artist ever!!!! Pricilla gave the Best Massage. Thanks Pearl you made my vacation EPIC ❤️❤️

Gorgeous location

We stayed in a over water bungalow with a view of Otemanu. Wonderful facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Very nice spa facilities. They also offered a Polynesian show on Mondays which was very good. The beach is a large white sad beach. also very nice pool. On the down side was windy and need to take a boat and bus to get to destinations on the main island.

Prettiest over-the-water property in Bora Bora

Posted Jul 13, 2016
Pros: This property did have the most beautiful water and setting. The water under the bungalows was shallow enough to stand in and super clear.
Cons: The management's willingness to accommodate for issues and also to honor Expedia perks. The bartender needs to be a bit more attentive.
Location: The location was beautiful with a view of the mountains and super clear water.
Upon our arrival we were amazed with the beauty of this tropical paradise. But a little disappointed with the hotel management and the unwillingness to accommodate my situation. Unfortunately, I had broken my toe a few days prior to leaving for my honeymoon. I asked the manager to give us a room closer in to the land, beach, restaurants, etc. (because I was wearing a removable protective boot and supposed to be on crutches, not walking much), but she had already assigned a water bungalow that was the furthest away and the next to the last one on the walkway! She was totally unwilling to reassign a bungalow closer in so that I did not have to walk so much! We are Expedia VIP Gold members and were eligible for an upgrade, but were not accommodated for that, either. This property does NOT like to honor Expedia perks. Although the property was beautiful, the drinks were super expensive and full of ice. When we were served a drink, it was literally about 3 sips and gone, left with a glass totally filled with ice! On one occasion, the bartender totally ignored us when we sat down, so we finally walked away without ordering and watched another couple do the same. This property would do a lot more business if they offered beach and pool service where they come to take lunch and drink orders where people are relaxing. We did visit a nearby property for future purposes and they DID serve food and drinks on the beach. That is something that we like when we are on a tropical vacation.

Dear Mrs H..., We would like to thank you for the time you spent to write a comment about your stay at the Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa. We are very glad to read that your overall experience was enjoyable. We would like to add some details regarding the Expedia VIP Gold amenities that you were entiteld with. - The free up grade is given upon availability. We were fully booked and hence not able to offer you this upgrade. But as a compensation we offered you a FOC bottle of Champagne (out of contract to show our goodwill). - You got a late check out, the early check in was not possible considering the occupancy (offered upon availability according to Expedia agreement). - You were entitled with 20% discount on the spa, but you declined this offer a try to negociate a discount on the F&B as compensation. This perk is not part of the contrat, that is the reason why we could not accept this request. In short, we did respect the Expedia VIP Gold amenities contrat. We provided you the closest bungalow available in the category you have booked. Of course if we could have had the information of your broken toe prior to your arrival, we propbably have been able handle the situation differently. Thank you again for sharing your experience. It is our hope to greet you again in the future. Sincerely,

Great Romantic Hideaway

Posted Jun 1, 2016
Incredible staff, amazing views, snorkeling right from your beach. We stayed in both the overwater & garden bungalows, both had their pluses. Garden bungalow offer a plunge pool & plenty of privacy. The overwater was everything I had ever dreamed. Although property was a bit dated it was very clean, well maintained and still had the Tahitian feel. Breakfast buffet was really good, and the Polynesian show on Monday was a must see.
