The hotel is in an excellent location and the staff were very nice and helpful. I booked a twin room which I thought was a bit small for two people and the bin in the bathroom had not been emptied after the previous resident’s which cleaning staff should have done. The bed was super comfy and everything else was fine and I would stay there again.

My wife and I were travelling home through Bordeaux after a family wedding. We decided to stay for a couple of nights and sat at a bar at 7pm to find somewhere to stay nearby. Lots of choice and difficult to judge comfort from photos, it was the garden that did it for us. Booked BDX and had a lovely couple of nights. This is not high luxury but the staff were charming, it was very comfortable and really fitted the bill.

Great stay!
A great stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful making sure we had everything we needed and always had a smile on their faces. It was a great location opposite the train station and a tram stop. The room was comfortable and clean. Our only problem was the room was very warm even with the fan provided.

Clean, efficient and a good location
Clean, efficient and a good location if you need Bordeaux's main railway station which is also the terminus for the airport bus (number 1). Charming staff at the hotel. Relatively recently refurbished. Strong street lighting but blackout curtains worked well. Room was hot even in December so I can imagine it would be sticky in summer and the area could be noisy but opening a window would be a necessity. I booked a twin room which was only just large enough for two single beds which were pushed together. In fairness the room was not expensive and we were staying a total of 9hrs so it was manageable. Shower didn't drain properly so showers had to be very quick to avoid water spilling onto the bathroom floor- an eco friendly feature!

Great place to stay
A real find! Great location next to station and easy to get around city by tram from hotel. Staff welcoming and friendly, went out of their way to assist. Room good size with good facilities for overnight stay. Fab breakfast with good choice, adjoining cafe excellent and a lovely quiet courtyard at rear. Would recommend!

DBX, Bordeaux Gare

BDX is at the heart of Bordeaux Gare, but the room is not fresh, the smell kept me up all night. There’s no air conditioning, the fan couldn’t keep me cool and the windows don’t lock properly. There is a lick In the toilet. It was zero comfort and the morning staff was horrible. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone, I left the hotel room around 10am because I couldn’t bear staying there any longer. My overall score for this hotel will be 1

Hotel at Bordeaux Train station
Hotel is opposite St Jean Station. We took the bus from the airport to the station. convenient location. A short tram ride into Bordeaux centre. Our room looked onto the garden and was very quiet.

Nice and close to some restaurants and the train station. You can also hop on the tram and go downtown in 10 min. Clean and friendly staff. Liked that they also left bottle water for us.

Modern conversion of an old hotel.
Really liked the hotel but unfortunately hadn't realised it doesn't have aircon and would really have needed it as we were there during a heat wave. We were able to sleep with the window open but that was a bit noisy. Otherwise really nice welcome, great breakfast, nice outdoors garden area at the back and great location for us just across from the station and still walking distance to the centre of town. Also be aware there is no lift, but reception staff were very helpful with luggage.

Brilliant
Didn’t stay for breakfast, but the receptionists were brilliant, AND the room had TWO USB ports either side of the bed, spotless room and the USB ports were a real bonus.... The only downside of the hotel is from the outside it blends into the buildings around it, maybe just a couple of planters outside with lights and a plant would help.

This was a good place to stay as I only needed a night close to the train station. The room was tiny but very modern and clean. There was no A/C but a fan had been thoughtfully provided. No lift, so if you have a lot of luggage not so good. As a single woman I felt fine about it and it served my purpose nicely.I would stay again if the circumstances were the same.

It is in good condition and looks good. The only downside is that it was boiling. No air conditioning. Only a fan. Couldn't sleep as I was sweating all night.
