there is a new side and an old side to the hotel. We stayed on the old side. There was a very large spider in our room. There were cobwebs on light fixtures in the bathroom corners. The staff was excellent and attentive. I am gluten-free, and they did try to make accommodations. They did have rules for me. But not much for me to eat. Other than that we tried the restaurant the menu is only in French and hard to understand and not sure that the staff understand what gluten-free means. Overall, the stay was OK, I would probably not go back in the room with really quiet though, I think the walls were 2 feet thick, thick, and the view is spectacular out our window in the morning. They were also harvesting grapes while we were there, so it was cool to see.

Stayed two nights in the double with 3 twins. Twins were located upstairs on second floor. Beds were nice and firm. Private bathroom with tub and hand held shower. Kids swam in pool and enjoyed themselves. Staff was very nice, bit little English. We came in late and had key waiting for us. FYI, all rooms are attached to the chateaux, not down the road. Instructions waiting for us were a little confusing due to the translation issue. Overall very happy with experience. Would stay again in a heart beat.

Little chateau in Bordeaux
Beautiful chateau in the Bordeaux region. Newly refurbished, with great spacious rooms and a lovely setting. Good bar area outside with (of course!) fantastic wines. Very good restaurant where we are a very good set menu at €35 for 3 courses. Highly recommended

A lovely hotel close to Saint Emilion
We booked the triple room which had a double bed and a single bed for one night. The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated with wooden furniture with two large windows. There were four steps which were leading to a shower/ bathtub/ bathroom and a separate toilet. Everything was clean and quiet; a bonus was the swimming pool. The staff was very friendly and accommodated our late check in with no problems. We wished we would have stayed longer in this peaceful place which was surrounded with vineyards and in easy reach to all the sights of the area. We would definitely return to this place.

Old Chateau
This is a old chateau that offer stays at a reasonable rate. However the conditions of the place is so, so. We arrived when it was 37 C/ 102 F there was no A/C just a little fan. When it rained the water dripped right on you when you sat on the toilet. Also the bathroom was covered with spiders.

Perfect peace and quiet.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay because the hotel was so peaceful and calm. The staff were extremely helpful eg by ordering taxis. The food was delicious and the dining areas were oasis of calm. The outdoor space was relaxing especially the pool area although on Saturday there was a smell of sewage.

Very nice hotel about 10k outside Saint Emilion
Our room was a lovely renovated tower room. It was a nice size with a very comfortable king bed, flat screen TV and a table with two cofortable easy chairs. The modern bathroom was beautiful with a large garden tub. We had dinner in the restaurant and each course was delicious as well as beautifully presented. Our only complaint was that our room was very cold but as soon as we mentioned the problem, the staff brought a standalone heater to the room.

This beautiful chateau was fantastic. Our room was spacious and very clean with a great view of the backyard and the surrounding vineyards. We ate a delicious dinner here outside (although there is also indoor seating if you prefer). They have a great swimming private swimming pool that overlooks the vineyards. The sunsets here were absolutely breathtaking.

Nice hotel but needs to resolve wifi issues. Would not stay if wifi is required for business issues. Nice staff all tried very hard to understand limited French speaker. Lovely location with Saint Emilion close by which is well worth a visit.

Quaint Chateau
Just a one night stopover for us. The hotel was a chateau style and really lovely. Amongst wineries and very quaint. Arrived late and had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was fantastic. Absolutely top food and wine. Service at the restaurant could be a little faster, the quality and presentation of the meal was amazing. Close to a lovely town called St Emilion which is also worth a visit.

The Hotel de Roques as advertised is a medieval castle located about 10k from Chaterallault. We arrived late in the season, late October and the proprietors were largely preparing to shut down for the winter. Our experience was tempered by the fact the castle was a little more medieval than we would have liked. The room in the turret was sparsely furnished, no TV, and windows were small making the room a little gloomy. The proprietors were extremely pleasant and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Dinner was not a option since only 3 people were staying at the hotel and I expect they do not do dinner for less than 8 to 10 persons.
