"This was a simple, pleasant, modestly priced B&B, run by a pleasant young couple, in a historic neighborhood of Agrigento. It is about 2 miles from the Valley of the Temples, the 5C BC Greek temple complex. It is also within walking distance of “Ruga Reali”, a restaurant where we had one of the best meals of our 3 week Italy trip. There were several other nice looking restaurants in the town square as well. Finding Donna Teresa can be difficult. The iPhone map app struggled. It is better to key in these coordinates into the map app of your choice: 37.312183 N, 13.572448 E The real issue is parking. What Expedia described as “top-rated parking for a hassle-free stay” is actually on street parking in a dense urban neighborhood where you will be lucky to find a place. That’s pretty close to a lie, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t that nice young couple, whose English was basic, who came up with that wording. Plan on parking in the private paid parking garage about 300m away. Drop your bags off at the guest house first so you don’t have to roll them over 300m of cobblestone."

And location was perfectly tucked away but accessible to everything close by. Real luxury touches! Spacious room with spacious shower (can be rather small in many places). The staff was wonderful and the restaurant connected to the hotel was superb. Having been in Sicily for already 3 weeks the menu at Vela was a welcomed experience worthy of a trip there for sure. Alice and Giada and whole staff were absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended and will visit again for sure."

Being jet-lagged and my first night in Sicily, I couldn’t figure out how the AC unit worked, unfortunately, but opening the windows helped and I still slept very well. I will definitely come back to stay here again!"

"Very impressed with the management of a resort of this size. Full day of amenities if you wished to remain at the resort from the beautiful swimming pool, adult only beach, spa and daily activity calendar. You can walk for miles! Plenty of room at your choice of amenities. Complimentary buffet breakfast and dinner was outstanding. Food for every palate. Sciacca piazza was a short drive with beautiful views, restaurants and shopping. Returned to resort with beautiful live music beginning at 9:15 pm to enjoy a nightcap and sea breeze. Although this was an adult trip very family friendly. Will return if visiting west coast of Sicily again!"
