It Did Not Matter to Them

I was supposed to have free internet and wifi. That service had connection issues. When I tried to connect, it also indicated the service was for only 1 device. I wish I had known this before. Also, when I told the check out desk employee, all she said was that another person on the floor said the same. I did not even get an apology. The lighting of the room was very poor. The table, lamp, and phone had dust stuck on them...not clean...sticky looking! I do not plan to return.

Comfortable room

Pros: This was our second time staying at Boomtown, and both times our king bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better.
Location: Boomtown is within walking distance of several other casinos and is close to the Louisiana Boardwalk. Papa John's delivers to Boomtown!
We stayed two nights and had a great time. We enjoyed playing the penny slots. Boomers has tasty food at a good price. The Cattlemen's Buffet was ok; the desserts were outstanding. If you like margaritas, the cantina is the place to go. Our bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and our room was very quiet.

horrible place

Pros: the exit
Cons: replace staff with someone who wants job
Location: nothing
staff couldn't find reservation even with confirmation number. room outdated., buffett people rude out of food 2 hours early had taco shells out no meat. when asked about meat eas told was out but manager said leave shells out. very hard to get drinks or refills.

The most horrible experience that I have ever had.

Room smelled, carpet was dirty, pipes were smelling horrible. Beds were in bad conditions. I won't recommend this hotel at all. I ended up doing a early checking, instead of staying the days that I need to, I change hotel.

Ok hotel stay

Front desk receptionist wasn't the most pleasant. Breakfast isn't included.

Very nice did charge more than advertised

Enjoyed it room wonderful, staff great didnt like being charged more than the daily cost posted at the beginning

Nice Hotel for a one night stay

Pros: I was disappointed in the reasonable prices places to grab a quick bite in the hotel. We were there on a Friday night but $30 for a buffet? Not!
Cons: Nothing really...the casino was very small and not a lot of opportunity for play. But we were there for one night and not really for gambling so ok
Location: Found a great place to eat! David Beard's Catfish was AWESOME and total bill was less than one hotel buffet! Great food and superb service!!!
The hotel messed up my reservation and we had to notify them we didn't get the room we paid for. The person I called fixed the issue immediately and apologized. The room was clean and comfortable and the huge jetted tub was amazing.

Too Pricey for condition of the room

Pros: The buffet offered at the Cattleman's Buffet
Cons: The condition of the room
Location: The Boardwalk was great!
Upon entering the room it was very dark and offer hardly any lighting. The room has not been maintained, there is rust on a lot of surfaces in the bathroom and absolutely no vent to speak of for steam being released in the air. There was a bug moving on the carpet, I have no idea what is was since the room was very dark. The cleanliness of the room was sketchy at best.
