Great stay!

Posted Aug 21, 2017
Pros: Location - didn't need to leave the property at all
Cons: The city of Bossier City itself left a lot to be desired. However we stayed at a hotel that had everything we needed and we didn't need to leave.
Upon check-in, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who actually upgraded our room to a gorgeous luxury suite! We loved our stay and wouldn't have changed a thing! Two thumbs up!!!

Too hot and Too expensive

Posted Jul 16, 2017
Pros: Water was hot but toilets wouldn't flush. Tubs are very old and tall and are hard for seniors to safely get in and out.
Cons: Sadly this is the decay of America and it's not a vacation if you fell unsafe getting around.
Location: Stay inside the hotel for your safety. There was two shootings on the news within a mile of the Horseshoe during our stay.
We have not been to the Horseshoe for close to ten years and was very disappointed on this our final trip to the Horseshoe. I would say that most of the guest were retired like us and had a budget to stay within. Good Luck with that at todays Horseshoe. The room rate was fine as long as you go some where else to eat and gamble. Food prices are well above our means. Their Steakhouse menu would cost a couple around $150.00 to $200.00 per meal without drinks. The buffet costs around $20 to $25 a person and not worth the price. They did have good deserts. The Burger bar had good food but it will set you back over $30 with tip for two. If you want a piece of pie with ice cream it will cost you over $20 for two. I love to play blackjack but they are way over our head. The first night there was two $15, three $25 and the rest of the tables were $50 and over per hand. The slot machine were so tight that I put in $100 twice on a penny machine playing $1.80 per hand. I hit only three winning spins that paid only 60 cents each. My $200.00 was gone in five minutes. My wife played over $600.00 on the machines and had one spin that paid $25.00. After three days and losing over $1,800 our rewards cards showed no rewards earned. We tried going to the outlet mall next door but every bench had a homeless person laying on them making shoppers very uncomfortable. This area has gone down hill fast and would not recommend visiting.

Loved it!

Posted Jul 11, 2017
Pros: Comfortable bed, clean room, HUGE bathtub, big room
Cons: Actually wouldn't change anything.
Location: Casino, Boardwalk, Restaurants
Everything was so clean and comfortable. One or two of the reception staff were a little "stiff" but overall a wonderful stay. I would most definitely stay here again if given the chance.

I don't understand.

Posted Jul 5, 2017
I don't understand how this hotel is not for adults only type of hotel. I got there with my little child hopping she was able to enjoy the pool and turns out the pool is for adults only. The let people stay with kids but don't ;et the kids to enjoy their facilities.

Valued Guest, I apologize for the inconvenience our age limit for Dare DayClub caused you. Unfortunately, Dare is a club that has a pool. With that being said, clubs have a 21 age limit per Bossier City laws. Children are always welcome at our restaurants and the Louisiana Boardwalk within walking distance is extremely kid friendly! I'm sorry we did not exceed your expectations here at Horseshoe Bossier City! We hope to see you back at Horseshoe Bossier City! Grace A.

Horrible

Posted Jul 4, 2017
Pool was only for 21 and older. My 15 year old had nothing to do. Pool music was so loud couldn't sleep, TV didn't work. Another room overflowed their bath tub and hall smelled like mold. When I spoke to a supervisor she wouldn't do much. Very disappointed!!!

Guest, Thank you for taking your valuable time to assist us in improving our service. Your comments were taken very seriously. I have discussed your comments and forwarded my notes to the appropriate personnel and corrective action has been taken to prevent a recurrence in our Hotel Operations. Please be assured that what you encountered is not typical of the service we strive to achieve. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Unfortunately, the pool is actually a DayClub which legally requires guests to be 21 years of age per Bossier City laws. Again, thank you for taking time to share your thoughts with us. We recognize that you have many choices of entertainment and we are ecstatic that you have chosen Horseshoe Casino & Resort. We hope to see you back at Horseshoe Bossier City! Grace A.

Nice hotel

Posted Jun 30, 2017
We were just getting away for a couple of days during the week. Hotel is beautiful and smells wonderful. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel staff was excellent, from the front desk to the staff in the casino and restaurants. The only drawback is that there is not much within walking distance of the hotel such as shopping or dining. There is the boardwalk which is a short distance from the hotel, but better if you drive over. With a movie theatre, shops, restaurants, etc. Not great but it's something. So if you just need to relax and do some gambling this is a fun place. The restaurants at the hotel are pricey but that's to be expected since they are convenient. They have 5 or 6 restaurants, retail shops, candy shop, a pool. Overall a fun time.

Nice

Posted Jun 30, 2017
The rooms were large and rhe bathroom was bigelger than I expected. Although most of the restaurants were not open because we went during the week. Everyone was very nice and easy going and easy to get along with. Parking was free which made for more of a great liittle get away trip. Shopping was close and traffic was not the usual hustle and bustle of the big city.
