Small hotel, good location.

Posted Jun 25, 2017
Pros: Location was great, staff was pleasing and efficient and the restaurant next door was excellent.
Cons: The rooms and bathrooms are very small. The water in the shower pooled close to the lip of the shower floor and leaked out onto the bathroom floor.
Location: Great restaurant next door, 2-block walk to the Back Bay station, nice neighborhood with a youthful bent to it.
For the price, overall it was a good experience. The hotel was just a quick walk to the Back Bay station. The restaurant next door had excellent food and a good wait staff. The room was small and could use some updating and the bathroom was tiny.

nice value for the money in boston

Posted Jun 24, 2017
Boston is difficult to get a hotel room in and they are expensive when compared with even cities like New York, this was in a nice neighborhood and didn't cost $500 a night

Room was small but clean and adequate. Staff was great. Location was central to our activities for the week so it worked out well.

Nice hotel in a good location.

Posted May 6, 2017
Pros: Staff and restaurant, plus location.
Nice Hotel in a good location. Close to major sites and good restaurants. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are very small (about the size of European 2 stars), but clean. Comfortable bed, excellent shower and large TV. The in house restaurant has a new chef and a new menu and very affordable prices. The scallops, ribs, and fish chowder ere world class.

Ok for 2 night stay

Posted Apr 30, 2017
The shower was cold and tiny and the bedsheets had bloodstains on. There was no air conditioner and the hotel was very loud. Could hear people on the hallways. Did it's job for 2 night stay but wouldn't go back.

Rating it as an inn and not a hotel.

Posted Apr 21, 2017
Pros: location it was in and the surrounding area for things to do.
Cons: hallway decor, floor carpet and beddings.
Location: proximity to Back Bay station, shopping and big groceries like Star and Prudential Center as a jump off point for the duck tours and a visitor area.
Prep ourselves with idea that this was an inn we were staying in and not one's usual idea of a hotel - made it easy to what to expect. Pretty almost quaint looking inn. Checking in and out was a breeze. Upon seeing room was a bit surprised by it's smallness. Decor is simple, furniture minimalist. Bathroom was very modern -big, no tub, took up a good size of the room. The queens bed was comfortable but the pillows and the sheets were a bit worn. The inn is very close to Back Bay station which made it effortless navigating in and around Boston. Loved the neighborhood it was in and proximity to Commonwealth Avenue and lots of shopping to be had in the area. Prudential is nearby where some attractions are stationed like the Duck tours. Overall I would say the place grew on us and it was a nice stay.

Nice but lacking

Posted Apr 10, 2017
This is a nice hotel in a good spot however its very basic and the only amenities are the bar down stairs. Staff were nice except when I asked to have ac on, now I know it was March 26th but the room was hot and their only advice was open the window. So I won't be staying here again. The rooms are very small also so be advised there's no room to stretch out. All in all it's nice place but not my first choice
