Nice hotel close to convention center and shops!

Posted May 29, 2017
The building is old but nicely updated. The rooms were small but comfortable and clean. We enjoyed wine down hour in the lobby and friendly, helpful service by staff. The hotel was close to many good restaurants and shops. We enjoyed walking and exploring the surrounding neighborhoods. The hotel is in a great location!

Noisy, sleepless stay

Posted May 20, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Noise, in-room amenities
Location: Shopping, museums, historical sites, parks/gardens
Nice decor, friendly front desk staff. Small room was sufficient for a 1-night stay. AC, TV, and internet worked well. No bells and whistles in room (no fridge, no mini-bar, no hotel/local area information booklet) and limited room service. Bed was comfortable. Location of hotel is excellent for navigating Back Bay and convenient to T. Beware - there is a club on the first floor of the hotel. From 12:30 am-3:00 am I was kept awake by drunk hotel guests in the hallway, parked cars playing loud music on the street outside my room, and drunk club patrons talking loudly and loitering on the street below. This was a Wednesday night, not a weekend. After about an hour of this, I called the hotel and asked them to clear the sidewalk, but was told, "The club is closing so you will just have to wait a few minutes while everyone leaves." Things did not quiet down for another hour. A concern about the cleanliness - although room appeared clean, I noticed that I did not have a "Do not disturb" sign, but others did. Also, the door hanger with a fillable breakfast menu had been filled out and was dated 2 weeks prior to my visit with an angry message written over it (apparently the order had not been filled), but was in my room for my use. To me, this signals lack of attention to details during cleaning. I would not stay here again.

Dear Jennifer, Thank you for sharing your experience with us, we strive to provide every guest with a pleasant stay and we regret that outside noise levels and our hotel amenities fell short of creating the comfortable environments we are known to provide. We would love nothing more than to win back your heart and we hope that you will consider allowing us that opportunity with a future visit to Boston. Intuitively Yours, Copley Square Hotel

convenient and cozy

Posted May 18, 2017
The hotel is close to many convention centers which will help business travelers. Also a block away from back bay station for mass transportation. Also there is a market place next block and great restaurants. It's been a pleasant stay and rooms are decently priced. The room sizes are a bit smallish compared to a typical hotel but its not of a concern over the convenience it provides.

Wonderful location! We were able to walk to the Museum of Fine Arts, shopping on Newbury Street, and a concert venue on Berkley.

A Pleasant Surprise

Posted May 1, 2017
Pros: Great staff. Very friendly and courteous
Cons: In hotel dining was limited
Location: Great location. Just three blocks from the train station
I traveled to Boston for a conference at a similarly named hotel a block away. I accidentally booked this one. I am so glad I did. It was comfortable and pleasant. The staff was extremely personable and helpful. I am glad I stayed here rather than at the other hotel I was supposed to book. I would recommend the Copley Square to anyone.

Nice boutique hotel in great neighborhood

Posted Apr 21, 2017
Pros: The best attribute of this hotel is its location. It's walkable to some great shopping areas and restaurants.
Cons: Although coffee is provided in the lobby in the morning, it would be nice to have an in-room coffee maker.
Location: Great location near to shopping at Newbury Street and Prudential Center; easy walk to Boston Common which is the starting point of the Freedom Trail
I arrived late on the day of the Boston Marathon, so the street outside the hotel, the lobby and the bar were teeming with people in a celebratory mood. My check-in was quick and efficient. The room was attractive though small, and very neat and clean. This was my first trip to Boston, and I had only two days. But I managed to see the highlights. It's really a pretty compact, walkable city. And I enjoy visiting historical sites, and there are plenty to see in Boston!
